So How about a few prayers for our friend Samthejeepman, a copy below of his e-mail ..................................................... hi all just wanted to give everyone a heads up as to why i have not been on the net back in march i developed a 102-105 fever. after 3 days finally went to an emergency room they did a bunch of tests and released me that night. the next day they told me that they saw a mass over my pancreas and admitted me into the hospital for one week. during that week they did a biopsy and determined i had cancer of the pancreas. i was told that it was an aggressive tumor that wrapped itself around the top of the pancreas. it was about 6 months old and had i not gotten the fever, i would have died within 6-8 months. i left the hospital and went to the univ. of pa cancer hospital. i received what is called a "whipple" procedure. this procedure removes part of the pancreas, stomach, gallbladder, bile ducts, duodenum, etc. etc. after spending 23 days in the hospital, i am now home for about a week and getting back to my old self(less 33-35 lbs). next step is chemo and radiation, so i'll keep you all advised still here sam ....................................................... prowlrman Prowler Junkie From:Phoenix, AZ USA Registered: Feb 2003 Admin Use	posted 04-27-2011 02:39 PM Sam...let me give you some positive news...I have a very good friend who lives in Branson, and is the lead guitarist for the Sons of the Pioneers. He has been with the band over 30 years and actually played with Roy Rogers! Last March he too was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer and had the very same Wipple procedure. It was not easy the past 12 months for him...but the good news is he is fully healed and on May 2nd will be back with the band performing in Branson. So he is an exact example that it can be beat...and you are in our prayers that you too will soon be back to doin what you love to do...just as my Friend Gary LeMaster is. Best wishes Sam!!
