Since I haven't met any of you in person, I was curious about how old everyone is? By what I would guess is most are in their late 50's to mid 60's. What did you do or do you do for a living? I am 62.

You are correct in guessing the age groups, however there are some folks a lot younger, in their 40s. There are several multi-generational owners. Rickster and Mel Beyes, who just passed away a few weeks ago, Alrtg and her dad, and Dublin, OH (Steve) and his parents come to mind. there are several owners older, also.
I will be 67 in a couple of months and bought my first on in April of 99 so I was almost 55 at that time.
I am a retired Cincinnati Detective and did Polygraph for about 10 of that time and had my own Polygraph business for awhile after I retired. I repo cars part-time, in the Winter now. I don't drive a wrecker, just find the more difficult ones.

I turned 30yrs old last month and I was 24 when i got my 2000 yellow prowler. My Wife's cousin never used it and as a joke I asked if he would sell her and he said YES! I currently work for a Doctor's Hospital in Edinburgh,TX. I love my prowler and I'm one of the lucky ones that can drive her year round as the weather here is always sunny, although my kids (two boys 4 & 5 yrs old) keep asking me to sell her because they could buy a lot of toys with the money they will eventually see their old man was right in keeping her.

My Prowler came from Addison Texas. I bought it on EBAY Christmas Day and had it delivered here in NW Indiana. My wife drove it into the Garage, the door went down and there it sits. Our weather here is influenced by Lake Michigan, it keeps us warmer in the Winter and cool in the Spring. I work for Arcelor Mittal Steel and we have the Indiana Dunes State Park and the Indiana Dunes National Lake Shore takes up a lot of our Lake Michigan access. It gives us a very scenic place to drive. The dunes her are up to 200 feet high and on a clear day you can see Chicago across the Lake. Our convertible season is very short though. Ed, it sounds like you have had an interesting life. I have a feeling you are a military veteran also. I am a Vietnam era former Marine. I was an A6-A aircraft electrician.

Naaah, I know an older one

I was 41 when I saw my first purple Prowler with trailer in the local dealer's show room back in 1997.

At the time even though I could imagine myself driving a Prowler, I never even thought I would have an opportunity to actually own one. Now look there are two in the family....so far.

bought mine new in 1998 so was 40 when I bought it

still got it and will be 53 this year

IMO becuase of the expense it was more older owners to begin with. As the cars aged and the purchase price made them more available to the younger crowd

My son got a scholarship to college in the Spring 2001 and I used funds planned for his college to help make the payment on my Prowler. I was 48 at the time. I drove it as a daily driver for 5 1/2 years and sold it with 151,000 miles on it. Wish I still had it but am saving $500- $600 a month until I have enough money to but a Viper for retirement in a few years. I am a convention/exposition contractor and proiduce trade shows/conferences around the country.

I bought my '97 as a retirement gift to myself. It is still hard for me to believe the car will soon be 14 years old. It makes me feel as young as ever..except when getting in and out of it! Not a pretty site.

One day he will remember how to get the scissor lift to go down and he can then drive outside of the garage.

Does that mean you are closer to 64 and act closer to 18?

Picked up the AlleyCat on Jan. 15,2000 and drove it back to Phx.

My Gold 2002 Kat came from around Atlanta and I bought it from ebay in August 2010. I am a retired high school principal, currently working in the insurance business. My wife is also a retired high school librarian. I just turned 60 in Dec and look forward to driving the prowler this summer. I have always been a Corvette person and own a 2009. But, I have more fun driving the Kat and watching the reaction of all the people. It is definitely a fun car.
