Tuesday I am going to Spring Hill, Florida to pick up a OEM factory Luggage rack. I am trying to stay with OEM parts even sometimes there is room for improvement with third party items.

On the rack has anyone had experience with them? Good of bad?...any vibrations,,,,,loaded or unloaded? any suggestions just using it..keeping it clean....appreciate your input!!!!!!

If it has not been reinforced, it will break if you try to use it. An additional brace needs to be welded to it for strength. There are old posts on the site about this, but I did not take the time to "search" them. Mine is in storage and I can't get a pic of the "fix" without going to my storage building.

I have a chrome PT Cruiser rack for my Kat.
It was less expensive, chrome, and to the best of my knowledge does not have the breaking issues the Prowler rack has.

You may consider one of the Weekender or Transporter enclosed luggage carriers made by some of the members here.

The chrome PT racks were closed out about 4 or 5 years ago. You can probably only find one used.

Hey Dick did pick up the 2nd to the last one left today and its looks as ugly as ... ha ha but enjoy the OEM original part and looks like it will hold up and happy that I got one with only one more left.good folks at Prowler Store bending over backwards to get me set up..... for others ...the good folks here have shown lot of great racks and luggage with neat looks up to date..so if not this rack theres a lot of good stuff by our members!
