I can not remember if cassettes were "in" back in 2001?
Has anyone used there cassette? I am trying to remember when they were introduced...I don't think back in the hot rod days? We all have an OEM cassette player of the years of production Right?

...cassette tapes were just starting to get popular in the early 1970's....I purchased my first cassette deck for a car in 1973 and my first home cassette recorder/player in 1972

I bought a bunch at a garage sale and they all broke. Storage is key as the tape dries out and snaps.

Those cassettes and 8-tracks can be easily repaired when they snap. Just a thin strip of tape on both sides and you're good as new. I repaired a cassette just last sunday that way and have done many repairs on both in the past.

Mine came with an 8 track, but when the tracks jump, I just fold and wedge a book of matches in the opening. Its usually "Aero Smith" that jumps.
Cruzing music on cassett: Eagle, Jackson Brown ,Jimmy Buffett and when feeling nasty... Jethro Tull's Locomotive Breath !
