Are there still Chrysler dealers out there that still give the POA discounts for extended warranties? I did a search and have called the ones I found but the latest is from 2003 and it appears they all have disappeared or the people are no longer there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and Happy Holiday's to all. Phil |

Phil,,,, Bob will take care of you. I compared him to several others > no contest! Real helpful guy as well. Have your VIN# ready when you chat with Bob MAX Care seems to be the best plan,,with $0, $50, $100 deductible choices. You decide which is best for you. Good luck.... |

What was the price and the deductible and length of term so we all know the going rate |

The question for me is what are they charging over cost for the warranty? I've found $200 over cost; It has been a long time since I saw prices at $50 over. |

quote: Gordon,,,,I would stand to believe that Bob was indeed quoting me $50 over cost, or damn close to it. I base that opinion on the quotes given to me to buy the extended warranty on our Viper. Two local dealerships quoted me the following figures > $3250.00 and $2900.00 for a MAX CARE, 4 year extension past the ending 3 year factory warranty, 50K mileage limit, $100 deductible Chrysler plan. Bob's figure for the same plan > $1250.00 Stands to reason that the other quotes were looking for a fish,,,, to provide a high commission rate on.
HScott, "What was the price and the deductible and length of term so we all know the going rate" Your question can only be answered,,,depending on the car model, the Plan you are interested in, the mileage coverage you are looking for, the dollar deductible plan, whether your car is presently under factory warranty or not, current mileage, etc etc.... Too many variables to tell you anything conclusive. Contact Bob, and discuss your ideas/questions with him directly. Going back many years ago,,,,for my silver cat I bought a 50K mile/7 year coverage/ $50 deductible plan for $950. Our orange cat had a 100K mile/7 year coverage/ $100 deductible plan on it when we bought it,,, with 970 miles on the odometer by the previous owner. We paid a warranty transfer fee to switch to our names,,,,seems it was around $50 to $100 to do so? |

My 2010 Jeep Compass for 7 year 85,000 miles including my sales tax was a little less than $1,800 with $50 deductable. Much less than the dealers in Florida wanted to charge me. I'm satisfied. |

We have been talking only about a Chrysler extended warranty plan,,,,not one from an independent auto warranty provider. Never had a problem with the Chrysler plans I have bought over the years,,,,,its like buying insurance against a big outlay of dollars to repair. I'd say I'm well to the good on the amount of dollars saved to fix problems. Some like them,,,others dislike them. |
