I figured you would have them soon. Maybe I should run your way for a test fit.

It is such a simple fix. I bought 6 stainless bolts and 6 stainless repair washers. I welded the washers to the end of the bolts (opposite end to head of bolt), then cut off the head. Simply hold the splashguard in position and mark the hole positions. Draw a cross through the marked position. hold the washer over the cross to centre the thread and draw around that. Sand and degrease the whole area then bond the new thread onto the fender. I used stainless nylocs with repair washer to spread the load.
Basically you bond a thread to the fender.
Mine has been done for over a year now with no problems. I also had a splashguard get trapped whilst reversing in a pothole. The whole fender assy was dragged around bending the metalwork. My splashguard stayed put.
Any more help with this, please feel free to ask.
If you wanted to ship your fenders to the UK I will repair for you?

Well i just ordered the brackets from larry lord now i have to figure out what kind of epoxy to use to mount the brackets and i have to get the mud flaps painted not sure this is even worth it, So far $135.00 spent and they aren't even painted yet.

I would give Crawford composites a call and ask to speak to Max. Tell him I recommended 3M 9323 in pink. I dont think it is available in the USA. Max will know the correct adhesive for the job. They are based in North Carolina and are a superb company. As for Max, I believe him to be an absolute gentleman.
Regarding if it is worth it or not. I removed the brackets from my fenders and had them painted onb the underside as well as on top. I replaced the bracket fasteners with stainless coachbolts (polished first). This enables me to remove the painted fender whilst keeping the metalwork attached to the car. I also bent my metalwork so the ground clearance from bottom of splashguard to ground is 2 and a half inches. Very pleased with the results. So regarding if it is worth it, it depends if you are a perfectionist or not?

I pick up the first pair today for the trial fit and they look great. The price is going to be affordable too.I will know as soon as I get my final numbers together but I hope to be in the $75.00 to $80.00 a pair range. I will keep you posted on the progress but they should be ready in a couple of weeks now.

I will have the price on these front mud guards the middle of next week and it looks like I may be able to do better than I thought on the price.

I should have the first run of front mud guards the end of next week. They will be black plastic and look the same as the originals. With the many suggestions to make them shorter I decided to make them an inch shorter than the originals. I know a lot of the guys have trimmed theirs and when you do you lose the finished edge and they look like you cut them off. These will have the finished edge on the bottom and look like they should. For those that haven’t trimmed theirs and are tired of hitting and scraping them on every little bump these should help that situation out considerably. I can’t help but think that the constant hitting and scraping may be the reason that some are losing their mud guard metal retainer bracket from the fender.
I am going to price orders thru the end of October at $59.95 including mounting hardware, shipping is additional. If you would like to have a pair please email me at prowlerparts@jeffersonautocollision.com
I also have some of the original rears left

Wonderful explanation ... and as Geno observed and commented ... certainly is quite clear, and bears repeating!

heres one easier than that.mark where you want the studs,on inside of fdr.roughen up that area with 40 grit paper.use devcon 5 minute epoxy and they will stay forever.epoxy studs directly to fdr.very easy to do.let epoxy dry 24 hrs and bolt up flaps.you can also use the epoxy to mount the new brkt if needed.devcon is available at ace or true value hardware.to unbolt the fdr assembly.remove wheel and there 3 bolts that hold the complete assembly to the knuckle, you will need to remove fdrs to do the repairs.

I picked up the first set of shorter splash guards today. They look good and fit as the originals. Here is a picture of the originals and the shorter ones for comparison.
