Were the front shocks on a late production 2002 made by Koni,or did the previous owner install mine? I noticed that the collars on my front shocks have KONI cast into them.(Right below the top mounting eye,and above the coil over- spring) I have some paper work where a dealer replaced the front shocks on this car under warranty due to leaking. I just don't remember seeing KONI on a 2001 that I owned previously. Are these OEM or aftermarket KONI"s. No other Kats in my neighborhood. Thanks everyone!

The dealers replaced leaking Dynamic shocks with Koni's which were standard on 1997-2000 models. Be glad they have been done already.

The 2001's, like mine, had the crappy leaking Dynamic's installed at the factory. I believe that Koni's were installed before and after the 2001 model year run. Last summer I changed my shocks to Koni's.

I believe Koni Shocks have a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser for as long as you own the vehicle.

The problem with "Lifetime Warranties" is that when the item breaks, it's lifetime is over and the warranty becomes void.

Larry,

Is that the same price for both front or rear?

On my silver 01 the dynamics shocks got replaced with Konis.
The burned-orange 01 had, (I think) konis. One shock was a little bit wet““, so I replaced the front shocks. ( Because there are so cheap, compare to the european prices)
A friend works on a air ride system for his prowler.
I wait, till he finds the perfect set up, then I invest““ too !

My 2002 came with Dynamic shocks, They were leaking around 25,000 miles. So I bought a set of Koni's ( I think for $99.00 a set# installed myself,# what a bear# and have know problem for the last 3 years.

However the first set #Dynamic's# lasted that long.

The rear shocks I've been lead to believe run a bunch of money pre set.# have not had to do that yet)
