Just getting this out as a reminder or just in case I missed anyone with my link E mail Monday about doing the Air Force Academy Chapel in Colorado Springs on Sunday Sept. 6th at 2:30... I am still fighting my cold and the meds have taken there toll.. How ever we are still doing the Service Honor Shoot at the Chapel at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.. Line up in their Visitor parking lot at 2:00 to 2:15 and head in and be at the Chapel by 2:30 if your running late, the visitor center can give you maps, as that is how I got mine... The Visitor Center that we want is located furthest NORTH at the Entrance just off the I-25 Hi Way.. The first one coming from Denver going to the Springs that Says Air Force Academy..We will let Bob with 27 years Navy service and retired military along with Len that did 4 years Navy and 4 years Air Force, Philip with 4 years Air Force and any other Prowler owners that has served this great country, go first and lead us in... This is to honor the ones that served giving us the freedoms that we enjoy today with our Prowlers.. Please respond to this with a yes or no that you will be attending, and if you have served this great country of ours with how many years and what branch so I cam make a spot up front for you.. ... Pete at the Chapel will be waiting to see us and we have to go and come in a orderly fashion and obey all traffic rules.. Have your Driver Lic. ready to present even passengers at the security gate to speed things up.. We should have no problems... If we do have any security issues we may have to go with plan B, but I don't for see any problems... Plan B will be Garden of the Gods.. There is a feast set up for afterwords put on by Purple Prowler Owner Linda, who lives about 15 min close by and the B.B.Q. will be at her Ranch... I will be taking donations to help her out with the food so please help out if you can... Please Respond Yes Or No if you live in Colorado and I missed you... Pictures and Story to follow... Thanks John(onecatnodog)Collins

Today my Prowler was driven from the Grave Yard, and we will go to the Chapel at the Air Force Academy and honor our serving or have served heroes that are in the Mile Hi Prowler Club. Thank all of thoes World Wide, that have fought, and some dying for our freedoms that we enjoy today.. Following it up with a Grand B.B.Q. at Purple Prowler Linda's and Dave's Ranch.. The weather looks to be Hot, just like the Prowler Girls... Thanks again to this site, it's moderators, managers, lookers and lurkers and I hope that all will enjoy my story and pictures that follow... John(onecatnodog)Collins

What a outstanding day at the Air Force Academy Chapel.. 15 Prowlers Showed.. Special thanks to Pete Peterson as he was the man with the Golden Key that let us come play at the Chapel as he had reserved parking the whole front of the building, and called me to tell me that the gated entrance was open... Way Cool Pete, Thanks.. As you can see in the pictures that the Chapel it's self is a work of art... Stained Glass, angles, pitches and points.. Put in Some Prowlers. Sprinkle in some Prowler Girls... Then add some newley Cadet Grads... and it's just way over the top... onecatnodog

Prowlers Curved around the Chapels Side Walk was a site to see.. The Owners answered tons of questions about their cars and my wife gave away a bunch of Prowler hot wheels to the kids.. She even gave one to Pete Peterson the man that was responsible for working with me on this event and worked his day off to clear the buildings front... Heck even Bob a 27 year retired Vet and Bobby a 20 year retired Vet received one each from me as there cars were the same color as the hot wheel.. ORANGE.. onecatnodog

Thanks so much for all the kind words, and I think that is why I continue to do it... Just wanting to share all the Prowlin that the Mile Hi Prowlers have, enjoying their cars, friendship, and just (PLANE) fun... onecatnodog Well I mentioned that things didn't go as planed on Sunday as when I told you I was going to take a brake I truly did that day.. Sunday morning first thing I broke my second toe on my right foot as I caught the coffee table while in a hurry to get ready.. Sucked it up and went on with the day not telling anyone as I didn't want to spoil anything that I had worked so hard on.. Up and down in the parking lot I was as I needed to get down on the ground to try and get the complete Chapel in the picture along with the car.. People were teasing me saying that I was getting around like a old man, little did they know my foot was killing me.. Great color Purple don't you think and it's much larger today than yesterday when this picture was shot..

Can't even mash the gas pedal to keep up as it hurt so much.. After we got through the first check point it was a nice short cruise to the chapel and we let the the military Prowler members bring us in, in style... Thanks to all that showed for this day to honor the ones that served.. onecatnodog

Pete from the Chapel called me as planed in the morning, to let me know that the second set of gates to the Chapel were open and if they were not we were going to go to plan B, as we would not be able to get close to the Chapel with our cars.. We would have gone straight to The Garden of the Gods but plan B wasn't needed..

Because of this man Pete Peterson shown in this picture next to his Bullet Mustang there was not a car in front of the Chapel.. Car Guys are the greatest! Pete is a prime example of that.. Pete went above and beyond to give the Mile Hi Prowlers the best chance of getting the best pictures... It was his day off and he came down to do it.. Funny thing is that Pete was in Tulsa when the Prowlers had there National Event there and saw all the Prowlers as the Mustang cars had there meet in Tulsa at the same time.. I shot this picture at the Chapel of the Man that helped me pull off the Plan.... Pete Peterson onecatnodog

Was that a Prowler Purple toe I saw in that photo?

Just wanted to thank you for sharing the photo's and what you went through to make the event successful.

I imagine that toe really hurt and can appreciate someone that follows through regardless of what happens.

You think this is the end? NOT! Well it was for some, as they had other plans and promises to keep, or there wives made them go home.. L.O.L. Again I would like to thank all that showed as it wouldn't be a event if you were not there.. Plus it makes the pictures so much better.. Looking out the Chapel windows as we all load up the Prowlers for the Big B.B.Q. at Dave's and Linda's house... What a Party! What a Garage! Stay tuned for more of the story a little later as I have to go to work... Thanks for checking out my post and I'm so happy to have some place like this to share the story with you all... DEFOTOPRO, Do like others have done.. Come to Colorado and use my Prowler on a cruise with the Mile Hi Prowlers... I'll drive one of my beaters.. I might have lent my Prowler to more Prowler owners than anyone out there... Tom Snowman has used it.. Chewee Dreamcast has used it, Jordon Silver Bullet has used it, and there are quite a few more out there.. The list is growing, and will grow.. Nothing like Cruisin Colorado in a Prowler... Thank you all for the great response to this post and all the other post that I put up... John(onecatnodog)Collins
