Have you ever 'Opened-Up' your Prowler....'Cut Her Loose'? What's the highest MPH you hit? Why not higher? Did she 'purr' or 'growl' @ top end? What's your stock 3.5 do in the quarter-mile (mph & time)? Let's hear your tail (tale)! |

Yes I have put foot to floor more than once My Kat hits the rev limiter pretty quick due in part to the modifications made by the first owner. They include dual cold air intakes, Paxton headers, X pipe, Borla exhaust and Pro Gears. My car is a 2000. While on a recent trip to South Carolina I had the misfortune of running out of gas. It wasn't until a while later when I was looking at the GPS and saw my maximum speed was showing 105 mph. I do at some point plan on taking the car to the local race track and make a couple of passes just to know how it does. |

alrtg.....sometime in September @ the Cecil County Dragway in Maryland, you can go to the car show / drag-strip and for a $35 entry fee, you can run your Prowler down the strip all day long if you want. Man, you ought to see some of the rides that go here and the $ spent on them!! They had a show similar to this in June.....what a turn out! The drag-strip is off of Rt95 @ Rt272 North....3 miles north or so. This message has been edited by broakie56 on 07-27-2009 at 07:45 PM |

Shame on you!! Don't you know there are speed limits?? You can tell I am an "old fart." Never past the 78mph as this is my age. Next year I will try for 79mph. If you believe this you are gullable. |

garysss, When I get home sometime this week, I'll send you guys a copy of the flyer with all the details. It would be great to meet some of you guys from Maryland. We can please the crowd with a couple of Prowlers going against each other down the strip! Be cool to see a bunch of Prowlers there! I'm only 70 minutes from Baltimore.....if you and some other guys want to come up some weekend, we can run the rolling hills of Lancaster County, PA. Be more than happy to show you the area if you're not already familiar with it. This message has been edited by broakie56 on 07-27-2009 at 08:29 PM |

FYI >>>>> If you decide to come to the Cecil County Drag-strip in Maryland and you decide to run your car down the strip......you're required to wear a helmet....can be an open-faced or half-helmet.....full-face helmet not mandatory. |

LOL Gary, I was thinking about going to 75&80 in Monrovia MD now that it has re-opened and it is only about twenty minutes from my house, maybe thirty if I obey the posted limits and get all the lights green (both of them). Remember SILVER is the faster Color when it comes to Prowler's |

Ok Andria I almost let this slip by. How did you run out of gas? Are you having trouble with your guage or were you having to much fun? As far as 75 & 80 I did not know they reopened. So are you having ECP party at your house since it's close? |

quote: Regarding the Gas, The smile on my face must have been in the way! Actually the gauge read below 1/4 but above 1/8 and the low fuel light had not come on. That is not until after I was sitting on the side of the road for a few minutes, I had gone 254 miles on that tank of gas, not bad for 70 MPH and Gears huh. Regarding ECP here, I was not aware you all would lower your standards and come all the way out to my shack. Actually I am afraid of all the flack I would get if you saw where the car gets parked, I don't have the bucks to build a new garage for every car I buy. LOL |

Right at 130 - I know it shuts off. I only have about a 5 mile area to run it up and get it back down. I will say it is as aerodynamic as a brick at that speed. After 120 it feels very light and wants every inch of the lane you are in. |

Well, let's see.........I've driven the Candy 99.8 mph on the dragstrip. I drove a silver Prowler (with my neighbor in the car - don't tell Bob) 100 on a road up at the cottage. I haven't had an opportunity to take the supercharge CAL KID car out on a strip or open road to see what it can do.... but one of these days! |

99.8 on the strip? Heck, I know a lady that's gone almost that fast pulling a trailer. LOL. (and I have a pic to prove it)
quote: That's what you get for having an aluminum engine. My iron horse feels very comfortable at those speeds. I had mine up to 127. Started coming into traffic and decided I should back down. Good thing I did, cause about 1 mile down the road was a cop hiding behind a pile of rocks. |
