I need to take Ms. Kitty in and have some warranty work done as my rear deck button gave up the ghost recently and the top has to go back up sometime this year. I'm looking for recommendations/warnings on D.C. area shops. I'm done with the DAR group as I've had too many bad experiences wih them.

Thanks,
Tom

There is a manual release behind the driver's seat.

I use Tate Chrysler in Glen Burnie myself for service. They have two (2) certified Prowler techs and I think three Viper certified techs as well. No bad experiences as of yet. Good luck.

The replacement button may still be available, and YES I second the suggestion to buy the additional release for the passenger side from MDPROWLER, I have bought more than one and they are working great, saves a lot of steps going from side to side of the car.

To (almost) quote Jay Leno... How lazy are we getting when we can't walk from one side of the car to the other side of the car? No wonder this country is so overweight.

BTW, I like the concept of the extra button myself.

Thanks for the good info folks! I pulled the fuse(s) first thing and they checked out. This is the second time to the shop for this problem, too. I checked the service manual yesterday and saw no mention of an emergency release. OK..off to the garage....
