http://autos.aol.com/gallery/american-worst-50-years We own two of the worst cars!! (2002 Prowler and 1972 Avanti) The perspective is from the market share position of the vehicles. Too bad they didn't offer a larger discussion on the up-side of these cars. Grand Touring Louise - any luck with the pictures of the Fiat Prowler?? (as seen at Ogunquit) |

Earl I've owned a few of those cars myself, two of them were Black 1965, 1966, Studebaker Wagonaire Daytona with supercharged 289 ci motor, 4 speed tranny, loaded with every bell & whistle you could imagine. I bought them both from a funeral home in 1969, I turned one of the in to a Harley Biker hauler for my business, the other one I kept for a family car for years because it had air conditioning, like a lot of old cars they were way ahead of their time, recently GMC mimicked it with their Envoy XUV Earl I had Pics of the Fiat Prowler but some how deleted the file they were in or I would have posted them on the New Hampshire Maine Cruise Post toys |

Actually, it says the worst "selling" cars....Not the worst cars... The idiot failed to mention that the Prowler was virtually hand built and never intended to be mass produced. |

The AMC Pacer and Gremlin weren't in there,,,along with the Pontiac Aztec? AMX I wouldn't think should be on that list either,,along with the Prowler. |

Journalism with a preset agenda is what we have here. Too bad that they don't have a clue on their subject matter. Avanti, AMX, and Blackwood were all nice rides. I still have a Reatta and it is one of my all time favorites. |

What is so true and JUMPS OUT in the article quote below is THE VERY LAST STATEMENT/SENTENCE!! Mustang......Camaro.....Challenger.....Thanks to the Prowler, you're welcome.....without the Prowler, you would not have been revamped looking as good as you do today!! I love talking to cars...lol!
It's fair to say that Chrysler Corp. never intended to set sales records with the Plymouth Prowler, but the model didn't achieve its main goal either: breathing life back into a dying brand. It even suffered the ignominious fate of being re-badged as a Chrysler after Plymouth's demise. "Still, its fans love its looks and technology, and it's credited with igniting the retro craze of the last decade". |

The article is worst selling cars so that makes it a little different. This criteria matches up assembly line cars produced at 800 per day against our hand built car at 7-14 per day. go figure. I like the way you think Mickey. This message has been edited by SuperKat on 09-08-2009 at 04:49 PM |

Worst selling cars? Didn't they all sell? (Except the few the dealers don't want to sell.) How many other cars made have all sold? |
