I WAS TOLD ALL PROWLERS HAVE A PIN STRIPE AROUND THE CENTER OF THE CAR. IS THIS TRUE? |

No it is not true to the best of my knowledge. I think the Woodward and Mulholland have them and know the Black Tie edition has it. I have a Silver without it. |

THANKS I JUST PURCHASED A 2002 CANDY RED A FEW MONTHS AGO AND THERE'S NOT ONE ON IT. I WAS LOOKING AT A MULHOLAND ED. AND THE OWNER USED TO OWN A DEALERSHIP IN TAMPA AND THAT'S WHAT HE TOLD ME. I USED TO BUY CORVETTES, BUT THIS PROWLER IS A LOT MORE FUN TO DRIVE. |

The pin stripe has a break in it at the bottom of the trunk. You really have to look hard, it's very small, but it's there. |

My silver has a very subtle 2-stripe pin stripe...it was professionally added to the stock silver prowler and the matching trailer. Looks very sharp. It's a very thin (black/red) line, but adds just a bit of detail that really "finishes" it nicely |

quote: Other than the strip, is there a way to tell a Black Tie from a silver that someone painted like a BT? Did all BT's have the pin stripe? Is there a paint code for the BT? Are there differences between the 2000 and 2001 BT? Newbie, be gentle. |

all blk ties and woodwards, are signed and numbered on the trunk,if its not signed and numbered its not real, its a fake.met a owner in nev.who was sold a supposed blk tie by a dealer,it wasnt.there is no color code for the blk stripe, its prowler blk.wether the pilots were signed,i couldnt tell you.somebody else may.they may have been blk and silver, but not called blk ties at the time, and not part of the blk tie production run. ------------------ This message has been edited by catfish on 08-11-2009 at 08:56 PM |

The dealer ordering code for the black tie color combo was 6XS and the paint codes were PSA and QXT. PSA is silver and QXT is for the secondary color black ( which is code PXT). I believe the Woodward would have been 6XR dealer order code and PRD, QXT paint codes since PRD is code for red. |

The Black Tie was numbered as well as Dr. Ru signature. My number is 146. I believe, not counting the pilots, there were 163 of which 12 went to Canada. This is what I have read. Maybe someone can be more specific. You have to look close to see this in the middle of the pin stripe. |

Has anyone seen or heard of a Woodward wannabe? I think I saw one last weekend. Also my paint code on the door sticker is PXT (Woodward). Is it possible that Woodwards and Black Ties have varying paint codes? |

I just looked at my VIP summary report for my Woodward Edition. The paint codes are Color 1 PXT Prowler Black Clear Coat and Color 2 QRD Prowler Red Clear Coat. The Red code is not on the door sticker. Did Chrysler only put one color on the sticker? |
