I'm looking at 2 Prowlers. One is a purple 97 with 12K miles and the other is a yellow 02 with 44K miles. Both seem to be in real good shape. Dose anyone know what each one of them is worth? Thanks for the help.

They're worth more than you will actually have to pay right now.
I'd say $24-$25K should buy either one. There are a lot of bargains now, so pick carefully. A year ago $28-$30K would have been the price.

more than 90% of those on ebay over the past 90 days have not sold. of the ones that did, the average price range has been 18K to 25K with a couple very low milage ones going in excess of 25k. looks like the average right now is about 23K. key question though is what will happen going forward. some think the prices will rebound. others seem to think that with the glut of cars out there, people will have soo many choices that prices may actually continue to fall even if the economy starts to pick up.

good luck... your timing may be impecable.

Don't hurry and buy the first one you can unless you are absolutely sure it is the "one" for you.
I bought mine from a longtime friend and got a great deal on a good car, then saw several that I may have rather had for similar prices within a few month's.

Might I suggest that you look here on this site under the Free Classified Ads section and scroll back a little.
You will see some absolutely awesome cars with really reasonable asking prices.

I would think that buying a car here from an enthusiast would be far better than from someone else or a dealer.
Just keep in mind that if you can't pay cash for your car, financing options may be scarce.

WELCOME to the site and best wishes on finding the car for you. Do not be afraid to ASK questions.

Les Powell has a silver one for sale WITH a trailer in the Lexington, KY area, not terribly far from you. Trailers are fairly tough to get ahold of.

Prowlers on the East Coast ( I think) are harder to come by. It too me over a year to get what I wanted. I bought a 2000 Yellow prowler w/ 7400 miles and paid $30,000. Just a month ago. So I think alot depend on where you live and how far your willing to travel.

2 sold this weekend at Mecum auction

97 with 14,300 miles completely stock $27,500

Sold the 2000 today for $22,000, I told the owner that is all it would bring, he had 25K on it 1st run thru, but never know it could have been him bidding it up. Wheels were bad, would be driver quality for most of us it would need a new top and wheels rechromed or replaced

Hang out and find a later model with lower miles. They are reasonable now. And maybe not soon, but at one point these cars will go up in value..... Ed is right, the prowler with a trailer is a nice find....
