Anyone know where I can get a lower radiator hose for a 2002 Prowler? My local dealer said they are on back order and I can't find one at any auto part stores.

Well this one stumped me today!

I thought,,,,,,how can that be = NO HOSES?

I checked the AC Delco listings > none listed.

I checked the NAPA listings > none listed.

Same at Carquest....

Gates Rubber Co. > same thing.

and one other hose company > same result.

Maybe someone with Goodyear connections, can check for us?

Isn't this a bunch of crap? Need a radiator hose,,,you'll have to wait until they make some

I ordered it from them, we'll see what happens. They don't even have a contact phone number listed to call and make sure it's in stock?

The LH body style 3.5L hoses won't work but thanks for the thought.

This may be a dumb reply, but here goes. You used to be able to purchase a corrugated radiator hose that had a coil spring inside. These hoses would bend without crimping, thus preventing collapsing. I do not know if they are still available or even if it would work. It might be worth a bit of investigation.

If it comes down to crunch time it may be my only choice, only for a bandaid of course. I'll use the OEM hose as soon as Chrysler pulls their head out.

This works in a quick fix, but don't run for an extended time with these hoses, as they are stiff, and put alot of side pressure to the radiator neck if not put on correctly.

I have seen advertisements that pep boys will make custom hoses and brake lines. you may be able to have them fabricate one for you.

Paul, I believe they are referring to making hydraulic hoses,,,ie, power steering, etc. Not radiator hoses...

Take the hose off the car, Take to an Auto Parts store, I am sure they could come up with a close match.

I agree with Phil,,,,,,,,,,,,take the hose into a parts store like NAPA, Carquest, Pep Boys,,,etc.

They may have something close that might work.

maybe NAPA if they know you & you can do it yourself.other wise the rest of the A/P chains will need the size of your brakes/exhaust /with or without AC/auto or stick, the list goes on.its not like it used to be.

Look in the yellow pages for a hose a rubber company. If there are industrial plants in your area they need hoses fabricated.

Finally got a reply back from parts.com 8 days later. "Your part is on back order."

Duh, never dealing with them again.

Yea, I'm taking the hose over to my local auto parts store and see if I can get something close.

If you are in a real pinch and can find something close except for one bend? You might consider splicing two hoses together. There are hose spice kits available to help with this. Just a thought.

I'll order one and see how close we can get. I have tried all the local auto part stores and no one has one even close. I did think of splicing one together as alrtg but that's a LAST resort.
