Watched the bidding & sale also. The bidding was quite spirited....reaching the $60,000.00 sale price very fast. The '01 Black Tie edition was just like it came off the dealers floor.....no after-market additions....still had the front bumpers on, no trailer.....wonder what it might have brought if there was a trailer in the deal?? |

I checked B/Jackson website:
and it shows the cat (#1545) went for $66,000. That figures includes the Barrett-Jackson buyer fee,,,, plus Az. Sales Tax is added on top, if not a licensed dealer. Good to see the cat brought top $$$! This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 01-18-2009 at 06:21 PM |

Jan, it is painted, and in great shape with 18,000 miles. I leave Friday after work to go get it. It will be a long road trip, I-10 from Texas to Los Angeles, then I-5 up to the Sacramento area. 1839 miles each way! It has been stored in my Brother's garage since I bought it. |

quote: Geno, I have been told I am crazy, but younger I am not, so I am going to take my time! My son is going to go with me, his wife is not too happy about him going without her, but he has never been out to California. Sam, we will take some pictures and post when we return, I will post our route before we go, so maybe we will see a few owners along the way! I was at the show Saturday and Sunday. The weather was perfect this year so I Drove the Prowler up to Scottsdale. I looked at the black tie on Saturday. It looked really clean but it did already have a pretty deep scrape on the bottom of the nose. My jaw dropped when the bidding was all over. Then I got a big smile on my face. ------------------ |
