Has anyone ever (or know someone who has) successfully retrofitted their Kat with an electric auto folding top mechanism. A setup similar to a Porsche Boxter roadster mechanism would be a really sweet modification. AP |

to put all the goodies in to make it work.it no longer would look like a prowler.all that mechanism has to go somewher. ------------------ |

Yes I hear you. But...what if it could be done without effecting the stock appearance...sure would be convenient. Who knows, maybe someone techno-savvy innovator out there will find a way. They say it's technically impossible for a bumble bee to fly too. Ha! Oh well..I guess it's ok to dream about it. Have a great weekend! Alan |

I know this is an old topic, but has this been done yet? Think this would be a cool mod and with the new tech that has come out since the post, thought it may have been done. |

Since the top on our cars can be put down easily when stopped for a short traffic light, it is an option I wouldn't want. Years ago I had a convertible with a power top and found it more time consuming to put the top down with it. On that car I always put the Parade Boot on because it looked better and kept discarded cigarettes from passing vehicles from finding their way into the wrong places while still retaining an ember. |
