Has anyone ever (or know someone who has) successfully retrofitted their Kat with an electric auto folding top mechanism. A setup similar to a Porsche Boxter roadster mechanism would be a really sweet modification.

Yes I hear you. But...what if it could be done without effecting the stock appearance...sure would be convenient. Who knows, maybe someone techno-savvy innovator out there will find a way. They say it's technically impossible for a bumble bee to fly too. Ha! Oh well..I guess it's ok to dream about it.

Have a great weekend! Alan

I know this is an old topic, but has this been done yet? Think this would be a cool mod and with the new tech that has come out since the post, thought it may have been done.

Since the top on our cars can be put down easily when stopped for a short traffic light, it is an option I wouldn't want.

Years ago I had a convertible with a power top and found it more time consuming to put the top down with it.
I have a tendency to fold the top carefully enough to avoid creases as it goes down.

On that car I always put the Parade Boot on because it looked better and kept discarded cigarettes from passing vehicles from finding their way into the wrong places while still retaining an ember.
