My brother at, Cherokee Chrysler, in Canton, Ga. has been working with the dealer's Warranty Rep. and have helped me out a couple times getting the extended warranty on a Cat that has been in service more than 4 years. They are willing to work with owners that have Prowlers in excess of 4 years in service and less that 36,000 miles to obtain the Max-Care(tm) package which is all inclusive (almost) bumper to bumper coverage. They will also work with you on a one on one basis with the Power -Train extension only.
Keep in mind that modifications to the exhaust system that eliminate the catalitic converter or gear packages will void the coverage. Also some trim items exclusive to Prowlers and chrome rims, convertible tops are NOT covered.
In both cases they have to work with Auburn Hills to obtain approval. The warranties are available in one year, 15,000 mile additions, up to 3 years and an additional 45,000 miles. With 0 deductable, $100 deductable and $200 deductable.
Again each case will be worked on an individual basis with the dealer and Auburn Hills.
Contact David Warner 1-678-493-1111 and I hope he can help others protect their investment.

If you have more than 36,000 miles you would have to check with him to see if there are any programs that would extend the warranty coverage beyond that point. He & the dealer have helped me out on 3 Prowlers with 5 to 7 years "in service" with lower mileage and are willing to go to bat for others. Good luck. Jim

I just noticed my 7 year, 60,000 mile warranty expires next year. 2009 seemed so far away a few years ago. Yikes.

Phil, I am just glad he could help you out. I have always felt the protection was worth the money, because we travel so much in the Kats.

I live in Santa Clarita, Ca. and it is my understanding that this warranty is available in all if not most dealership. My sons' 2005 Chrysler 300 recently expired and upon coming in for an old change was offered additional/extended warranty for it. The manager we were dealing with also offered the warranty not only on my Prowler ( 99 22,000 miles ) but on all cars we have regardless of make. He had a chart that he referred to that dictated the rate of the warranty. This is a new offering Chrysler came out with within the last year or so as I understand. this was offerred to me @ Ontario Chrysler and other dealership I happen to visit for oil change base on cenvenience.

You have to be careful when buying them as, some dealers only offer warranties that ARE not the Chrysler Maxi Care one. There were several companies here in California that offered them, after a year or so they changed their names and would not honor All the old policy. Stick with the Chrysler or Mercury Insurance ones.

I agree with you 100% Phil. The gentleman helping us pointed this out. Make sure it is a Chrysler Maxi care and not Wynns or other type of an insurance backed warranty. Everything else is all but questionable????
