Okay.. After so many calls to offer the top ten to the other group as well, I have decided: I have had so many calls about this and so many comments... With enough orders I can make that work for me. I talked with my supplier and they will give me a discount on my Stainless for ordering a larger load. So I can do this again... Since there is no clear way to keep the list and not exclude anyone that is caught in the middle, all of the orders taken since the top ten was closed will be honored at the top ten price. I will accept orders for the grille for the 1000 for the rest of November. I am sorry for the confusion. |

Grace, Please forgive me for saying this but I just cannot keep this to myself. *********************************************** It might just be time for a reality check. I hope not but it's possible. Have any of you people that are lining up to place orders and send money ever seen ANY product from this vendor? I hope that everything works out well for everyone concerned and that Grace makes a bundle of money from the owners that are hoping for these new products,,,BUT,,,please step back and think about how easy it is for people to get ripped off on the internet, even by vendors that have been in business for years. Do you not remember the vendors problems that have occured on this site in just the last year? Just a word of caution that I honestly hope is never needed but I just cannot watch this without saying something. There are owners nearby that should do some firsthand research in my opinion. I hope they find everything to be on the up and up, beautiful products and a well equipped shop. This message has been edited by Larry Lord on 11-27-2007 at 07:40 PM |

Larry, I couldn't agree more. I believe in handing over my money when the product has been presented and reviewed. I would rather pay more after knowing what I'm getting. I'm with you in hoping for the best from this vendor, and am not badmouthing anyone. It's simply a matter of common sense. |

Larry, Since you postred a copy of this on two boards now, I will offer the same response I offered on the other.... My actions have been based on general demand and I am not asking that anyone do anything that they are uncomfortable with. My company was started last February after a six year apprenticeship and I am not in the position to order 4000 of stainless steel without materials deposits. I am an accomplished builder with a solid reputation in the industry. For those who are interested, my coachbuilding experience has been limited to: the Prowler, Viper, Rolls Royce, Bentley, the Ford GTX1 and Ferrari. All of my parts are hand built, and each is given as much time as the others. Anyone who has any questions may ask, I am working hard to show good faith and be fair to everyone who asks. I have spent a fair amount of time working with several people on the boards. The best advice that I can give you is that if you don't feel right about it, do not order. Wait and hear what people have to say about it first. Worst case if you wait and order later you will pay a price which has not increased in 6 years, made with more expensive metal and more of it, even while I pay a fee for each part as the design is licensed to me. hope that helps |

Larry: Don't be so hard on the lady. Did anyone run a Dun & Bradstreet on you before you started peddling your merchandise? I doubt it!!!!! We're all adults and most of us are business owners; "Caveat Emptor"; there are no guarantees of perfection that I have come across. Even you took ten (10) months to answer an e-mail that I had sent you in 2006!!!!! We're big boys out here in the hard cruel world, she deserves a chance just as you and I were offered. Grace, please don't take these posts personal. Several of our members have recently been burnt by a long time vendor who was also even a Prowler owner. People are just a little skittish and cautious right now. I am anxious to see your product and looking forward to being able to afford one next year. Well, I've done it both ways When making the Dragon Panels, I got 30 POA members to put With the 60 sets of Hardtop Pins I shipped them and the POA Both, I believe worked out well for me and the POA Gang.. The panels would have never been made without some money up front..and the trust of that group..LMO

Why don't we all let the lady do her work, with all of this stuff going on it is taking time away from her job which is to create a superior product so that others that are unwilling to take a chance to buy. I have never worked for anyone except myself and in my 48 years in business have always trusted my instincts and so far I have been good with them. Some of us are gamblers and some are not. You go Grace and prove all the disbelievers wrong. I am looking forward to putting the grille on my car and showing pictures to all. |

It is always exciting to see different members/vendors take interest on the prowlers and its owners. Metal with Grace just like all the previous before her will only make the "AWESOMELY BEAUTIFUL CAR" the prowler even more beautiful, functional, and accesible. I welcome you and wish you the best of luck. As Beware indicated, and knowing Larry Lord, I know that he meant no negative insinuation towards Grace, rather a sincere concern for other members. For those that feel they do not need to be reminded more power to you. I know that in due time Grace will turn out quality products, and this will all be water under the bridge. Good folks helping each other. JMHO. Will |

Many of us are in business. I have been in business since 1980. Back then, someone had to take a chance on my partner and I. Grace certainly sounds sincere. Let's give her a chance and see where it goes. I would not be where I am now if some people had not been willing to take a chance on us. |

I am on a business trip in Seattle and visited Grace's shop today. We had a good discussion and she answered all my questions. She showed me pictures and videos of past projects she has worked on which were pretty impressive. I also toured her shop. It is small when compared to other shops I have seen. However, it appears to be fairly well equipped. I looked at one of the current projects she has in the shop. It is a very high end car that she is doing a major rebuild on. From what I've seen and heard today I'm comfortable that she has the capability to make our Prowler grilles and have made a deposit for one. Please note that I'm reporting my observations and not making an endorsement on the grille since none have been made yet. Only time will tell how good they are after the first one is delivered to a Prowler owner. This message has been edited by JMAZZ on 11-29-2007 at 10:42 PM |

After speaking with Grace on the telephone when she called to let me know that my deposit was received by her. I felt that she was going to do all that she said she would do with the grille. I have a good feeling that all of us are going to be surprised by the quality of the grille. Now that one of us has visited the shop and reported as such I am glad that I trusted my instincts again. Cant wait to get the grille installed in the Kat. I know that some have been taken by others on this site but not everyone that does business is out to take advantage of others some have great passion for their work and reputation. Go Grace and looking forward to your other projects that you have expressed interest in producing! |

I've had one of the original M&L grills on my car for over 3 years and it is an incredible piece. I had mine powder coated black and painted purple on top and it still looks new. The weight, fit and finish is first class. If Grace turns out the same quality you will be very pleased with your purchase. Grace, thanx for stepping up and offering these. Course then mine won't be so unique but in the world of cars nothing good stays unique for long. ------------------ |

They are a great design.. one of my favorite aspects of the design is the way the street lights follow the structure as it passes.. I need a video of a Kat with one of these grilles coming down a street in the dusk or dark.. so cool.. Thank you so much for your nice comments, I can't wait until people get to see them.. I am told everything was shipped to me so construction will start soon!! ~Grace

Grace, I am very impressed. For one to master the old world / old school English Wheel and Planishing Hammer is a rare accomplishment in todays mass produced world. I believe only a hand full of accomplished masters exist today, and most are over 60 years of age. On a side note, please wear hearing and eye protection at all times while working your craft! |
