Has there ever been anything like (or interest in developing) a luggage rack for the trunk lid on the Prowler? (either removable or permanent). Just curious. It seems like something like this would be pretty functional and not half-bad looking. And before you flame me, I'm not talking about carrying my wife's wardrobe, I'm just thinking more like a couple of duffle bags for a weekend getaway. Although the pic below is a Miata, this is kind what I'm talking about: ______________________ JohnC - Kechi, KS |

Hi, My partner & I are designing a new luggage rack for the Prowler right now that I'm sure you will like. It will fit into the hitch. I would like to know if there would be any interest in this project.......Thanks, Mac |

quote: I had thought about something to mount on the deck lid with a slip over the lower edge and to be held on with the top pins of the top frame and when driving with the top down a set of pins to hold it on. But with the roll bar that has been shown on the green car that would work with top down and LOOK KOOL. I would not want to have to drill any holes in the deck lid. Don't know how it would look but that is my idea. |

Good idea as long as you keep the decklid tightly secured (right PowerUp Bob? ) |

The rack we are making is really going to be different. Can't quite tell all about it at this time, but hope to have for Christmas. Will post pics when we have a prototype. |

I have one in my garage. I'll have to get it out and shoot a pic of it on the car. |
