I am working with a vendor to print copies of the group photo taken at the Prowler 10th Anniversary Celebration and to also make DVD copies of the photos. There are 265 professional photos which need to be copied on DVD discs because of the size of the files. The vendor is working on a proof of the group photo which will include the anniversary logo and identification of the event in the white space below the photo. I will have that proof soon for approval. He is also working up costs on both the photos and the DVD. We will be offering two different sizes for the photo. We will be selling them through the Prowler Store on the website for a limited time only and they will be ready for delivery before the holidays. As with our other merchandise, you will be able to purchase using Pay Pal or download the order form and mail a check. That being said, I would like to address some of the comments that have been made with regard to my handling of this project.....this post in particular:
quote: First of all...Craig Love and Chrysler NEVER would have done this event had I not approached them on behalf of the Prowler owners. Craig Love NEVER intended to do a group photo for the Prowler owners. They only hired the photographer for photos to put in their archives as they do for all of their events. I approached them to do a group photo. The photographer they used only takes the pictures and is not involved in printing them. I was told that for $1500.00 I could have the pictures and the rights to them. I told them I did not have the money to do that. Craig offered to cover the cost so I could have the photos to use. However....Chrysler was on a very tight budget and was already way over that budget for the party. Bob was able to acquire another $5,000 from another department at Chrysler to help fund the party. Due to the lack of manpower at Chrysler, many of the responsibilities they would normally handle were given to me, including the costs related to those issues. I could give you a long list of what I had to do and what we had to pay for but that's really not necessary (unless you insist on an accounting). I will say that Bob and I fronted over $10,000 to help get this event produced. Fortunately, due to the generosity of donations from Prowler owners/vendors and the raffles, we were able to cover a great deal of those costs. We also had to front that $5,000 which we still have not been reimbursed by Chrysler. All of this enabled us to not have to charge an event fee to those of you who attended. The entire party, the shirts, pins, dash plaques, name badges, music cd, event booklet, beer glasses, and everything else you received were gifts and no cost to any of you. The only thing you were required to pay up front was the cost for the Saturday night banquet if you were going to attend. At this point in time, I paid the $1500 for the photos and I'm sorry you feel that they are "in control of one member". I understand that a number of you traveled a long distance to attend the anniversary event and I appreciate that. I understand there were your costs involved in that. I started working on this event in January and I figure that it was about 169 days straight that I worked on bringing all this to fruition. I put my personal life (and my family) on hold for that entire time. My life was consumed with working on this event with Chrysler and all that I had to do. This was actually two events in one and it was a huge undertaking. After the event, I was pretty burned out and I needed time to get my life back on track and back to some normalcy. There were and are some serious things in my life that needed attention and I did not feel obligated to share that with anyone. I have not had much time nor the energy to be on my computer, let alone POA. I was barely keeping up with my email. I'm not looking for sympathy, I'm just stating facts. I think I was entitled to this time and perhaps before judging me, try walking in my shoes. I promised that I would do the photo and the cd (and my word has always been good), but I did not set a time line as to when I would be able to get it done. Jim, I don't understand this comment... quote:I'd like to know what money you have sent me. I have not asked for any money with regard to the photo or cd. I did not collect money and then not produce what I promised. The only thing I am guilty of is not being on the computer to respond to emails and pms. I have not been sitting here doing nothing. The photo and the cds will be available soon. I appreciate your continued patience. This message has been edited by CJ on 10-31-2007 at 06:29 AM |

CJ, in the past 8 years I know you have done an absolute TON of work for the POA folks and that includes Sandy and me. I did not know you prior to 8 years ago but I know you were already doing a lot of Prowler stuff. This year's edition of Woodward will never be topped. EVER. A very high percentage of that fabulous event was due to your efforts, directly and/or indirectly. We know you had Bob do a lot of stuff behind the scenes, as well as WildBill, Carol B., Tom & Pam Gulyas and I am sure a few others. Most of us appreciate how much work goes into an event but NONE of us knows how much work went into an event of this size except you guys. Every event is an absolute ton of work, most of it behind the scenes. You only notice things when something goes wrong, the rest of it must happen magically. From me personally, thank you very much. I am sure others will be posting when they finally get up out of bed. I KNOW for sure that virtually everyone had a fabulous time. There were lots of first time Prowler event folks there. I was told by several that they were hugely impressed. Again, this years event will never be surpassed. It was unbelievable and the party was totally fabulous, even with my back being all screwed up until Dr. Scotty "fixed" me. I am sure some of this brouhaha was just frustration. It too shall pass. P S Glad Mike lifted the ban. lol |

We can only echo Ed's remarks as far as the good work both CJ and Bob have done for this event and for POA as a whole. "NO ONE" has any idea the HELL they went through to make sure this was a memorable event for everyone. I for one don't know why she went out of here way. The regular Woodward as we know it has always been great, yet she went outside the box, beat the odds, and made this the best 10th anniversary party ever. CJ has never let anyone down before, nor will she in the future. That's just her personality and if per chance you don't realize this than you DON'T know CJ. As for the rest of US, "PATIENCE" - it's a virtue most of us should learn how to practice, for somewhere it is written, "GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT". |

I appreciate your comments and so glad that everyone had a good time. I'm not at all looking for accolades, just providing dialogue as to why I took some very much needed "time off". I know that this might come as a huge shock to everyone, but even though I LOVE my Prowlers and all my Prowler friends.........there are more important things in my life than POA and it was time to attend to those things. I've never been a "slacker" and this project will be completed and I'm sure everyone will be happy! |

The magnitude of Woodward 07 shouldn't be underestimated. To produce the Woodward event ='s a huge national event. To produce the "Prowler 10th Anniversary Party" ='s a huge national event. To do them simultaneously..no one in their right mind would even try. I can see why CJ is burned out and behind in her "livin' life" schedule. |

CJ: Thank you for all of your countless hours of work on this. I know how many months of work it took to put on the Texas event for less than half of the people that showed up for this - I can't even imagine the work you had to do before this event, especially since you also were coordinating events with Chrysler and had to get approval, etc. from them as well, not to mention the outlay of cash it took from you and Bob to get this done. Even though at the last minute I didn't get to attend I plan on purchasing a group photo to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Prowler. Life and family come first and should at all times. I'm sure EVERYONE on here agrees that we've all had things in our lives that have taken precedence over our time here on POA, whether it's been our own health issues, family members and loved ones that needed our help or care, etc. You deserve some down time!! I have stated many times I appreciate the efforts needed to put on a small show. WOODWARD DREAM CRUISE & 10TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY for the number of people that attended is more than one person could or should have to do. CJ had some help, VERY LITTLE HELP, and I have had many conversations with her, she should be thanked for the efforts, not bashed for not doing something else for the group. Remember she is a volunteer to POA for the love of the car and people. With the Effort, Money and Time that BOB & CJ invested to put on the party and coordinate the 2 events (this was 2 EVENTS IN ONE), is beyond what MOST PEOPLE WOULD DO FOR MONEY, more less for FREE and at an actual expense to them. They opened up their home so Larry Lord could use Bob's tools and lift to install his products, they made the packets up, goodie bags and if anyone noticed CJ was not having a lot of fun at the party, she was stressed, the host or hostest at a party is there to have FUN TOO, but with the number of people, someone has to also make sure STUFF GETS DONE. DID ANYONE SEE HER RUNNING AROUND AT THE PARTY? please answer these questions Do you have time to get everything done? Do you get as much done as you did 5 or 10 years ago? Would you put your family on hold for 7 months to plan a party for a bunch of people, many that you don't even know and the #1 goal is for everyone to have a good time and not cost them a thing? After a long project at work, don't you feel you need a break or vacation to get things back on track? Do you think that the POA is run by paid employee's? Would you like to volunteer to assist in the next BIG EVENT? If you felt you were not appreciated for your efforts, and criticizes, as a volunteer, would you continue? Please let us give her the THANKS she deserves instead of trying to make her feel guilty and bash her for not VOLUNTEERING more of her time when her personal needs also needs to be met. I feel that my project created some of the extra pressure to get the poster and CD done. I'm sorry for that and have communicated that. |

Thanks for the response. We did our darndest to support all the vendors we could while there, plus any drawings, raffles etc to assist in this support. No place in the original post was it indicated that the cd and group picture had to be bought by anyone, which would have greatly changed our requests and my posts. It was only mentioned that they had been covered by Craig Love so "we could do as we wish". In fact that wasn't the case as you explained. All that was ever needed was "I am working on it! No replies gets very frustrating and causes concern and opinions that shouldn't be a part of any of the events. Others close to the situation could have easily communicated and put to rest any questions. Merely a suggestion, not intended to excite anyone. There was NEVER a question about acknowledging all your efforts and ours were posted as soon as we got home. Trust that all will enjoy the CD and group picture, when it hits the store. JIM |

CJ, We missed the opportunity earlier to thank you for the wonderful job you did planning the Woodward Cruise. This was our first trip with the Prowler group. We attended from Wed. evening until Sunday morning and enjoyed every minute of it. We thought the events were well planned and staying at the same hotel with the group made it nice as a newcomer to get the chance to meet new people. The oppertunity to cruise together was awesome! The logistics of putting that together along with the parking at the school was very impressive. Again, we want to thank you for all your time and trouble putting the entire week together. We felt it was a great success! Looking forward to next year! Merrel and Debbie Brubaker |

Although I regretfully couldn't attend the Woodward cruise, I would like to take the time to thank Bob & CJ for all the unselfish time, effort & dedication they put into the Woodward Cruise & everything else they do & have done for the POA & all Prowler owners. I also have to echo Ed Mahanon & other's comments as to all the behind scenes people that also helped out with Woodward. Without CJ & Bob's efforts I'm certain that these Pics would not even exist, nor would it have turned out to be such an historic Prowler event. I am Grateful to be able to get the Cd & photo when availible. A heartfelt Thank You BoB & CJ |

Look, no place did I or any of those asking about the pictures question or doubt CJ & Bob's dedication, loyalty, volunteerism, planning, organizing and follow through. The testimonials are great as we had done that when we returned from "a life experience" as stated in the event discussion area. All I wanted was a reply to all the questions about when, where, how much that were being asked. I received several e mails asking me to find out for some newbies that had no idea who or how to ask. My posts were specifically precipitated by 4 events. 1. CJ had been on line in POL and had not responded to any questions. 2. Another member had offered a shadow box with the group photo in it. 3. Several E's from other attendee's wanting to know, after a month and a half, what and where and how much they would be. 4 My son-in-law is shipping out for his second tour in Iraq, before Christmas, and I had promised him a copy to take with him. The original information offered did not agree with the further explanation that CJ then posted here. That information alone would have changed the efforts I made to get the response. It was not intended to be an attack on anyone!! |
