Here is a thread that has some similarities. http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/016098-2.html Seems like the customers that get their stuff love him but he is somewhat hard to keep track of. I have had no direct dealing with him. |

Sometimes I don't listen to my phone messages every day or check at my e-mails. I do have a life after Prowlers too. As soon as I listened to his message I got right on the phone to him and answered his question to the best of my knowledge as I try to do with everyone. I had told catfish some time back that I was not making the finned stainless steel trans oil cooler cover at this time because of the difficulty of doing it in a timely manner. That is the hardest part I make for prowlers. I WILL make it at some future date but not now. I told him on the phone that I would not take his money if I thought I couldn't get the part done for him in a timely manner. I thought he understood me and I hope that he reads this and recalls that statement. All of you folks need to understand that some of these parts are difficult to make PROPERELY and they take considerable time as well. I can't perduce every aspect of each one and must depend on outside craftsmen to assist me. Whenever this takes place the process becomes much more time and effort consuming. I would like nothing better than to have an endless inventory of each part on my shelves at all times but that ain't the way it happens!!! There's only one of me and I have a family and 5 grandchildren. I have invested a considerable amount of money in all of this with no hope of ever getting that back. I'll continue to make high quality parts for those that want them and I'll also continue to research new parts and get them to people that want to buy them from me. For those of you that have purchased parts from me, you know that you have top quality parts that fit properly and look great. If you haven't purchased parts from me and just want to jump on the "lets pick on Scott club" you need to get a life !! That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it !! I hope I've made myself clear and that all of you read this and moreover understand it completely. I don't need to make any of these parts (except for my own use). What I would like is some understanding of what I go through for the good of this car and the people that own them. I have invested over $35,000.oo in core parts and the processes to make the first round parts available and countless miles on my own Prowler (that didn't have to be put on her) and then there's my time (way too much to even think of at this point). If you have a bone to pick with me please call me directly 650-967-3609. You can also e-mail me or write me. I know I've made a difference to a lot of owners over the years and I hope to continue that and I hope I've answered some of your questions and helped the cause. Those of you that just want to make silly comments without the facts need to grow up---that's my opinion, Obi-Wan |

My good friend Scott has done over $7,500.00 worth of parts and work on my prowler with NO problems. I gave him a $5,000.00 check for parts once and would do so again tomorrow without a 2nd thought. We are all very lucky to have someone with his talent making parts to improve our cars !!!. If it were not for a few guys like him, we would all have boring production cars with problems. Why does it matter if it takes time to get your part, a least you will get a TOP quality item. It's not like we can go to the corner auto supply and get this stuff. Impatient people need to understand there's no money in doing this. Obi should stop making Prowler items and put his talent into Street Rod parts where the real money is. We are very lucky to have him. Just my 2 cents. Obi, my friend, hope to see you in a few weeks. |

Obi-Wan, has always come thru for me, he insures high quality products that fits the 1st time, (as long as you listen to his instructions prior to ordering certain products) He has always been there for me!!! ex:Even though the door widening mod was 1st conceived by Catfish (Jan B.)thank you Jan!, Obi refined it to a dummyproof w/ pics and a seamless clean mod.Kuddos to Obi He is anal about his products, just like most of u are with your Prowlers, thats why things take a while, but he WILL ALWAYS come thru.JMO Rich |
