After an awesome trip to Woodward and talking to many of you about the Colo. 08 event,one thing was clear, everybody is ready to come out next year. For most the dates will work fine, for others, they would rather see a weekend to weekend event planned. I would like to see a quick poll (like by Wednesday , Aug.29 '07 ). Here's the scoup! The dates we have picked out, June 19 thru June 24 were negotiated at an awesome rate of 99.00 per night. After returning from Woodward and talking with hotel management.We could move the event to June 29 '08 thru Fri. July 4 th. But the best rate available would be 120.00 per night. Not only would this put you on the highways over a major holiday, but would increase our clubs cash outlay by 12000,00 . based on a count of 100 rooms. That would buy alot of gas! I need to hear from you soon so we can move forward for a great time regardless of the date. Thanks Carl & Pam |

The later date would work for us. We would definitely attend if it is moved back. We cannot make it to the earlier one, unfortunately. |

We will definitely not make the earlier date. It was never about gas money. Either event date we would use the same amount of gas. It was about using two weeks vacation vs one weeks. However even if it's moved to a later date there is still a chance we can't make it. So I guess you need not give our vote too much consideration. June 19 thru June 24 works for us. I will be retired then, so I plan on taking the Cat on a long, slow drive out that way. Whatever works for everyone, works for me! |

Why not move it back a week or two into june and go weekend to weekend?Something like June 14th to the 20th,4th of july is a BIG week for alot of us and I for one will not be able to make it if its on or near 4th at all!I would try hard to stay away from holidays of any kind!(JMO) This message has been edited by Snoman on 08-27-2007 at 02:40 PM |

The middle of the month, like sno said, would work much better I think. I wouldn't plan something around a holiday.JMO. I think you would get a bigger turnout if people could travel on the weekend, but in the end it's your gig. The pics you posted sold me. |

Over the 4th of July would be a bad idea. I vote for the original date or better yet earlier in June like some have suggested, or weekend to weekend if it works,but definitely earlier in June. |

well it makes a lot more sense to go weekend to weekend as some of us have jobs...and can only have a weeks vacation at a time so ...lets just do it and find the weekend with the best rates ... |

Having planned several events I can appreciate the fact that finding the right hotel at the right price for the best schedule is not always as easy as some may think. Also, you will never please everybody woth your choices some may not like the price and for others the timing may not work out. Based on the two choices you have presented we would prefer the earlier dates even though we will only be using a week's vacation. We'll arrive a few days early and cruise on own and stay for the first few days of the event before heading home on Saturday. |

This is another bump to keep it up and going... The Colorado Prowlers thank you for the responses that you have given and are looking for more as there are a bunch that haven't responded yet. So please do so! For me, no matter what is planed I will go as I want to see some of the people that were so nice to me in Tulsa, and the friends that I have made on the computer. If there is anyone out there that I have offended please don't hold it against me as I am far from perfect and tend to SCREW UP from time to time so chime in as this event isn't about me it's about You and the Prowlers... I'll be there I live about 15 min from the hotel... Please respond and voice you opinion on the matter... Thanks, John(onecatnodog)Collins |

ok,all i want is a decision on dates,deb and i have a 60th wedding anniv.. to go to in co.,we had already booked the rooms at the hotel,and now we have to change?so lets just get the dates finalised please.june is good wk-wk always good......steve/debbie |
