This is the prototype of the nose protector. The material used can be aluminum, stainless, chromoly, which we recommend because it is lighter and stronger than aluminum, or just about any material you choose. Can be delivered chromed, powder coated or sent bare. It attaches to the upper control arm and features a bridge style attaching point underneath that uses the stock mounting holes in the frame. No modifications needed to install. Would like your feedback on this item. Prices for this item will be posted shortly. Other mods for the Kat coming soon. Thank you for your interest. Mac (Galaxie)

Looks like you guys put a lot of work into it
But for me it takes away from the lines of the kat
at the front
We need something less visible

There was some interest in the nose protector at the Woodward Cruise. I know it's not for everyone, but I like the way it looks. The design is not set in stone. We were going to offer a turn signal upgrade with LED lights incorporated in the nose piece. If we get 10 people, we will go ahead & make a run of these......Mac

Mac, I was more interested in some nose protecters like RealRod made. They are a lot less agressive and blend with the cars nose better. Good luck with your design. Charlie.

Looks like it belongs on the back of a 40s, 50s or 60s Harley Davidson fender with a bunch of running light's on it.

I'll also give you an A for effort. JMHO

I think it's very unique! It's kinda like the knock off spinners I make. Some people like em & buy em & others don't! Good job!

I guess you guys didn't want the nose protector so elaborate. O.K. strike one. I had a meeting with my partner last night & we went back to the drawing board. We designed a much more simpler piece. From the e-mails I got we think it's what you guys want. We are making the prototype now & I'll post pictures soon. Thanks for all your feedback.......Mac

I guess the obvious question is what is going to protect the protector? If someone pulls in too far, and isn't careful, the protector is going to get dinged up just like the nose would. "A" for effort, but a little too much for me. I guess the best nose protector available is just 'being careful' when you pull into a parking spot.

Not True, being careful is not always the answer when your married and your wife takes the car- As its her money too!!!

Right???

I look as a nose protector as a way to insure, I dont have to paint the nose!

A scratch on the $200.00 or so nose protector- (that I will evenutally add a tny piece of rubber at the point) will be, MY WAY of protecting our money.

Hey.. maybe we just need a bumper warning light/seat zapper when too close to the curb. Or maybe a parking sensor.. http://parking-sensors.hyt.com/sc.cgi?cart_id=&item=F4R4LB&cat=Front_and_Rear_Parking_Sensor_Systems

I have a wife. Yes, it is her money too. I thought about letting her drive the Cat after constant requests. I said OK, but I was going with her. She started backing up out of the garage way to fast, and I said SLOW DOWN and BE CAREFUL. She replied, "Oh for god's sake, it's just a car..." I reached over, turned of the Cat and removed the keys. No chance of her messing up the nose of my Cat. The ultimate nose protection...

Joe cat, Your right, just a small piece of rubber on the nose protector will do the trick. I think you'll like this design. I'll post pics in a few days.
