Hi Gang,
I will know by this time tomorrow if I have become a Prowler owner.I will let you know.
I have had a crazy idea.I would like to come to the Woodward cruise, any advise?
Any loners out there willing to show a limey how its done?
Seriously is it worth me getting on a plane and coming over there?

Dave,

Welcome - an YES get the plane tickets - I'll pick you up, if you want. Send the luggage via UPS to the hotel.
We have people coming from all across the world to attend this event. If you don't have fun at this event, you're probably already dead. Take this one to da' bank.

It will be overwhelmingly worth it.
Ask the Aussies if the trip to Tulsa was worth it and this will have about twice as many Prowlers and a couple of other cars thrown in.
Even if you don't get your Prowler, it would be worth it.
You can hitch a ride for sure.

Detroit, Mich. That is where the car show is held and that is the closest airport. Someone will pick you up at the airport if you let us know ahead of time what flight, time, etc.

Dave,

It is going to be my 3rd time this year and I can assure you it is worth the trip al least if you are into
customized cars, hot rods and would like to catch up with a bunch of other Prowler onwners.
As you have noticed this year is special with over 150 + Prowlers. Must be a show off and blast everybody away.
Bought an Orange last year before Woodward and shipped it home afterwards and did the same thing this year.
(Bought a Silver that is currently going through registration and cerification and a new Orange, 730 miles on it and , my 4th Prowler, that is still in the safe hands of CJ and Bob who will store it and give it a check and have some goodies
installed before the event)

So yes.......... grap yourself plane and enjoy it is worth it.
Best,

Kees Engel

Ive just been trawling for flights and the cheapest I could find was a $1000 !
This sort of ends it for me Im afraid.
I take it this is an annual event so maybe I will get it organised for next year.
A few weeks ago I tried to book rooms in Wendover for Speedweek at Bonneville. There wasnt any rooms at all!
Very disappointed as I was there for a whole month last year, although I was working ,it was fantastic.
Were any of you guys there last year?
I was there with JCB and their diesel powered streamliner.

Dave,
If you could fly into Chicago O'Hare it may be cheaper then maybe someone can pick you up and go to Woodward.

Hi guys
Well I will now look into flights again into Chicago.
I was hoping to post up tonight saying I owned a Prowler!
Unfortunatly the deal went sour as I lost all faith in the seller.Big thanks to Mike Milne tonight, saved my butt I believe.Beer owed.

Just checked 12 hr flight,$900.
This just seems like a no brainer unfortunatly.
It would be ok if travelling with someone, hire a car etc.
Bit self indulgent to leave the wife behind!

Or is it?

Dave.......speaking from a woman's perspective.......

Does your wife enjoy cars and car shows? Not all women do. Some of our owners attend the events without their wives. If she's not into that and doesn't mind you going, then no problem.

Hi CJ,
Just kidding ref my wife.
She doesnt mind at all,Its just difficult juggling things at the moment.
Infact she is going on a cruise in September with her parents(They live in Ireland,so she doesnt see them too often).
Naturally they all wanted me to go.I couldnt bear being stuck on a ship,it would bore me silly!
She isnt really into cars, although when I took her to see the Prowler the other day,she loved it.
Really feel a bit low after tonights episode with the seller. It would have been great to wake up in the morning to go and collect it.....

Oh heck Dave, fly in and once you hit the ground you'll be chauffeured for the rest of your stay. I'm flying in from Colorado and a buddy/big brother is picking me up at the airport and hauling my a$$ around "til Sunday. I promised him I'll be on my best behavior and buy him a breakfast at the hotel buffet.
