Hi Ladies and Gents.
I am still looking for Prowlers here in the UK.I have found a 99 model.I understand that there was a factory recall during this period.Does anyone know what it was for?
I will get the vin number and verify through Chrysler if it was done. But if a car was imported when new, would it be up to the individual to take the car to a Plymouth dealer for the work to be done?

The major recall around that time was a Ball Joint recall. Sorry the Ball Joint recall came around for all Kats 2003. I remember now, there was a frame welds recall for 99's

From posts back then

Only late 1999 model year cars were recalled (all red). The frame problem did also affect the early 2000 cars, but were caught before they left the plant (mostly red, but some black also). That is why there are several 2000 model cars that went to auction as "repaired" cars.

Thank you all for you help.I am looking at a 99 Prowler for my next toy.
The trouble for me is still that of cost,in the fact that it is a lot of money to give someone for a toy!!
I have driven it and it drives fine.It needs some money spent regards wheel curbing, some scratches on the body etc.
Oh what to do?The trouble is there are not to many over here.
I was contacted by a really good guy from this site who has 2 Prowlers, one looks absolutely stunning and is for sale.Unfortunatly it is out of reach for me financially.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Dave!...It is a lot of money for a "toy" but think of it as an investment in having fun....When, (and if) you ever re-sell it the difference is what all that fun actually cost you (assuming you even lose anything)...

I have no idea what my Prowler will be worth if I ever get rid of it (not likely). But if it's worth less I'll divide the loss by the pleasure I've had and feel like it was still worth every cent....Just do it...

Fixing curb rash is next to impossible without replacing the rims. That could get expensive.
The cars are not depreciating much at all and MAY have bottomed out. No one can predict that with certainty. Even considering that, you won't lose much money on this car. Much less than almost any car out there, in fact.
