Well we did it! The Gambling cruise was just that, a gamble with the weather, and it held out...Just enough rain to spot the cars on our way to lunch and made it to the casinos to there covered parking and just missed the little bit of rain that came as we were safe with the cars inside. By the time we left no rain and dry roads on the trip to Golden. Great showing of the Prowlers as finally got to see Tony's Red 1999 Prowler and a NEW unexpended owner showed and that being Brad and his son Zack in there 2001 Silver. Andrew made it in from the Springs in his 1999 Red, Philip in his 2001 Orange, and then there was Susan and I in my Black 1999. Chromer showed up in his 1999 Yellow and Black Stinger Special just as were leaving and we all went up for food in the mountains.. |

This is what you look like when your stopped by a train in a Prowler... This is what you look like when you are driving something else and stopped by a train, big difference! Were Smiling, |

Train Gone and so are we, as we head up the colorful Colorado mountain drive. I have lived here since 1976 and drives in the mountains are still breath taking, even more so in a Prowler... This message has been edited by onecatnodog on 06-03-2007 at 11:32 PM |

Sometimes on Prowler events things don't go always as planed... The place selected was packed and was a 45 min wait... So we turned and burned... After a few pictures of course...Click...Click...Boom... Off to The Last Shot Rest. |

Headed to The Last Shot and it turned out to be a much better place... I guess it's all at how you look at things. Granted we didn't get to go were we had planed, but were we went was so much better |

It was cool to see the event photos being that I'd just seen two of those prowlers pass in front of the Marriott in Pueblo. The weather was so beautiful there that weekend, I was wishing I had my car there. I love that state. If any of you have never been, make it a point to visit. So many sites to see that are like no other. Glad it was a success. |

Thanks, Chromer and Jack The Wonder Dog for making the event. You guys thought I couldn't run... Well the pictures prove it... Faster than a speeding train... That would be UNDERCATNODOG... Most of the time when your taking the pictures you never get in the photo... Thanks for the proof that I was there... Nice shots. Zack do you have any that you would like to add. Was there any others out there that were taking photos...LETS SEE THEM... The young lady in photo was our waitress Cindy Lou and was as good as she looked. Funny thing is the owner in this picture with Tony her name is Cindy Lou also and she made sure we were spoiled. The Prowler Club will be back for sure as they are adding a large deck that would over look the mountains and the CARS The two Cindy Lou's are not related as I asked... |

Off to the Gambling! Safety in there inside parking and perfect timing as we got there and parked then into the casinos and this time the rain started again and was a little stronger as we made are way from casino to casino... This picture is of Zack on the outside by his dad Brad in there Silver Prowler... Brad being a rather TALL GUY looks to be wearing his hat on top of the car roof. Just a spoof Brad... Your son and you are a GREAT ADDITION to the club and was glad that you stayed for the whole event that was planed. I really enjoyed your company. |

Took the Old Canyon Road into Golden and to my surprise it looked to be the NEW CANYON ROAD as it was freshly paved in the last month or so and was Super Smooth with paved pull offs. Gambling must be paying for the roads up there. I will be going back to do a photo shoot as they did a super job with the paved pull offs close to the river... |

I still can't believe the view on the drive.. Seen it hundreds of times and it still is breath taking.. Kind of like the run back to the car when we were stopped at the train and the gates were going up.. Took my breath away to say the least... |

Last stop, Golden Hotel at The Bridge Water Inn. We went from a SIX PAC of cars to The Die Hard new guy Brad and his son Zack in his Silver Prowler and Susan and I in my Black Beauty Prowler.. But wait, another Prowler in the lot... Time to raze some HELL with HellCat that being Carter as he hooked up with us at the Bridge Water Inn for Sliders and Drinks. Thanks Carter, then about a hour later another SPECIAL guest Carter's wife Debbie in her Silver Vette. What a great end to a day as the B.S. was flying with great stories and drinks at the Best Spot on the Deck with some great Prowler friends new and old... Thanks to all that went with us on the Gambling Cruise and took a chance on the weather and got to experience the mountains and there Prowler Pals. Big thanks to P.O.A for this site and its viewers. |
