Please bear with me, I just want to make sure I make the right descision and don't get screwed, and have many years of enjoyment with my Prowler.

I found a 2001 Orange Prowler in CA (about 150 miles N of LA), 5200 miles, second owner, all stock. Ball joint recall has been done. Is $33,500 a fair price?

Thanks!

You are not stealing it and you are not paying way too much. I think it is a decent price, especially for this time of year, when convertibles are in demand.
Other opinions may vary.

IMO,,,,anywhere between $32 to $36K for a low mileage, well cared for, orange cat is a good price. Only way it could be better,,,,if you were buying from the original owner and it still has a extended warranty in effect.

Try offering him $32,000. Even your $33,500 is a good price for a beautiful, low mileage Orange kat!

Paid $36,000+ two months ago for our 2000 Prowler with 21,000 miles. Probably too much, but we really wanted a Woodward Edition and it was in near perfect condition.

I do not think that is to much for a woodward, if that is what you wanted it is well worth it. Prices are on the way back up and of course anyone who is buying wants to buy cheap and who is selling wants high, we as the bulk of the owners truly dictate the pricing. JMO

My 2001ORANGE new was a 3/36000 mile warranty. I purchased a extended 7 year / 90000 mile warranty for $1100 but at this point I have not had to use it. Of course ORANGE is worth $2000.00 more than the other colors.

Can the extended warranty still be purchased even if the car is out of the original? I think most people have something called a maxi-care warranty.

Looks like the factory warranty was 3/36.

Neal call 1-800-521-9922 to find out about the maxi care plan. You can get one as long as you are not more than 1 year out of warrantee. Good luck on the purchase.

I think the $33.5k is a fair price for a well-cared 2001 Prowler with low miles. I recently purchased an Orange at about the same price (plus the mandatory Taxachusetts 5% sales tax). I also purchased the 5-yr Chrysler MaxCare extended warranty for about $2,000 (with $100 deductible). I managed to track down the previoùs owner and the service history which gave a piece of mind knowing that the car was well cared and serviced.
Go for it. Prowlers generate the most smiles per a dollar spent on a car by far.

Just called Chrysler, and I would need to go a dealership. After 4 years of the in service date, They can't offer an extended over the phone. Good info though. And they are very protective of the info about vehicle records & previous owner too.

I go there almost every Sunday morning. I thought maybe it was someplace different. But hopefully now with a prowler.
