I need some help. My laptop has a message "The system could not be restarted from its previous location due to a read failure DELETE RESTORATION DATA AND PROCEED TO SYSTEM BOOT MENU Does this mean anything to you? This message has been edited by agstoner on 05-03-2007 at 08:13 PM |

Art. I found this on line. Read failures are typically indicative of a failing harddrive. Service time for diagnostics and probably a harddrive replacement Backup your DATA NOW! If out of warranty, realize that replacing the harddrive may cost you nearly as much as a new laptop, so if out of warranty, it is decision time If under warranty, let Toshiba check it and fix it for you under your warranty |

Feel lucky??? Do what the majority of us computer illiterates do...Turn off the power,...wait 15 minutes, then turn it on again and PRAY that the computer gods have cured it!!! |
