I need some help. My laptop has a message "The system could not be restarted from its previous location due to a read failure

DELETE RESTORATION DATA AND PROCEED TO SYSTEM BOOT MENU

Does this mean anything to you?

Read failures are typically indicative of a failing harddrive. Service time for diagnostics and probably a harddrive replacement Backup your DATA NOW!
www.pcrepair.toshiba.com has worldwide service provider information

If out of warranty, realize that replacing the harddrive may cost you nearly as much as a new laptop, so if out of warranty, it is decision time

If under warranty, let Toshiba check it and fix it for you under your warranty

Feel lucky???

Do what the majority of us computer illiterates do...Turn off the power,...wait 15 minutes, then turn it on again and PRAY that the computer gods have cured it!!!
