Today I went to the garage, opened the door and woke up SirReal out of his hibernation to tell him I have some great news. He dimly lit up one headlight and said 'Please tell me it's Spring and I'm gettin' outta here to go make some people smile. I said no, much better then that and then the the other headlight lit up and he said' what could be greater then that?' I said I'm taking you to your birthplace for your 10 year Family Reunion. His highbeams came on and there was a yellow aura emitting from him, the likes I have never seen. He said with a proud look 'we're going to Michigan?' I said yes, it's time to go back to be with your brothers and sisters. He revved and said ' I get to see all of them? I said well no not all of them. He said ' you know that there were over 11,000 of us born there. So how many thousands of us will be there?' I said it won't be in the thousands. He misfired on cylinder 3 and said 'hundreds?' I said it won't be in the hundreds either. He said 'ok just how many owners have signed up?' I said it looks to be about 60 right now. He let out a defiant backfire and said ' that's just not right. We Prowlers have made so many friends all over the globe for the owners. Friends that have been induced to commit incredible acts of kindness to each other. We make you proud and strangers smile and 60 is all that have signed up?' At that point his headlights went out and there was complete silence in the garage. But then I heard him mumbling under his breath something about how Plymouth and Chrysler went out on a limb to create the coolest car on the road and we can't get a lot people to go and say thanks, and then it got really quiet again and he won't even turn over now.

So here's what I am asking. Many of you have been to Woodward before. Can you share your thoughts and experiences from Woodward in hopes of increasing the Ten Year Celebration attendance? We will never have another Ten Year Reunion. Thank You for anything you can share here!

Toy's, I didn't know you were so cold hearted. "almost brought a tear to my eyes". I gotta get another towel and wring this one out. Woodward is the ULTIMATE. The visit to the Walter P. Chrysler Museum was unbelievable for a life long Mopar fan. Just to see the parking lot overflowing with Prowlers, worth the trip. Thousands of Hot Rods, about one million people all cheering and judging the cars with hand held scores. A life time experience, your car deserves and you MUST experience.

Woodward is awesome and the contributions by D/C (parking, tours, Conner Ave, etc.} make it even better! C.J. works her tail off (as does Bob) to make this a most memorable event. I believe a large contingent of East Coast Posse members are making the trek. I know I am!

First of all SirReal that was very well written.
I have never been to the woodward, although wish I had, I also will regrettably not be able to attend the 10 year Family reunion and thoroughly understand that it is the ultimate.
Thats why it Damm near brings a tear to my eye.

329hemi did you somehow miss the gist of my post???

If you have never been to Woodward, you cannot truly imagine how huge it really is. There is an enormous amount of cars and more cars and then some more cars. Most of them are outstanding and then there is the occasional ridiculous one that makes you appreciate all the other ones even more. You will see every type of automobile you can imagine and a hundred or so that you could never imagine. Riding down Woodward with 50 or so Prowlers is a total blast. Sitting in the parking lot is also a great time. (The Canadians are on the other side of the building, usually) lol.
You need to see it once in your lifetime, for real. Every year I think, been there - done that so we are going to skip it this year. Then as it gets closer I think about it and wonder, what the heck I was thinking earlier in the year.
It truly is amazing to see that many cool cars. It is a ton of work for CJ & Bob and we reap the rewards by getting great parking for Saturday, about 200 yards from ground zero, visiting Harold Sullivan's museum, the go carts, the side trips, etc.
If you like cars, you need to see this spectacle.
We'll probably be there this year, too. lol

I went for the first time two years ago and WOW! what a blast! You will definetly see stuff you never thought possible. Bring a chair along and sit back and watch the show. Chrysler museum,DC concept car storage facility, sitting on the Tomahawk,CAAP, all worth the trip by themselves. All I can say if you don't go is

I TOLD YOU SO!

Woodward holds a special place for us. The 2000 Woodward Dream Cruise was our first ever Prowler event. The friends we made at that first and following events have become some of our best and closest friends we have. It was also the first of several returns of our Prowler to its birth place at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant.
One of the things that stands out most is running down Woodward Avenue 4 wide. What an incredible adrenaline rush that is. Though it was not a Woodward event the tribute that was held at CAAP in Feb 2002 was incredibly moving. It is something I will remember and cherish as long as I live. Prowler owners and CAAP employees alike all had tears in our eyes. Prowler owners have shown our love of our cars and our appreciation for Chrysler building this amazing rolling work of art like with no other car ever built. It would be a shame not to continue this tradition and have the most amazing Prowler turn out in Woodward history for the 10 Anniversary. I implore you ! Wether you have or never have, attended any other Prowler events, this is the one you will not want to miss.
Last I would like to add that in my opinion, attending this event without your Prowler would be the equivalent of taking a shower without water.

I would think there would be AT LEAST 300, 97 Purple Prowlers there for the 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY. The Dream Cruise is almost anti-climatic because of all the people you meet and pass on the hiway on the way there are amazing. Just packing up gives you that "westward ho" attitude, embarking on an adventure.
Toys, took it very light hearted, and was poking fun only. Sir Real's essay had me in tears, for the car.

Monahan - the city of Pontiac sent me a letter requesting that we un-invite you from attending the Dream Cruise this year. After reviewing their past film footage,,,,and seeing you drive 65mph in reverse along Woodward Ave,,,,,they don't consider you to be an asset to the event!

I tried to explain that situation to them,,,,with no luck >> safety first was their reply.

I Think all those that sign up from here on should order one case of the Orange 1/64 toy Prowlers from RPL. You have to have something to pass out to the kids/waitress'/adults,hot rod fans, ETC.
