Has anybody asked Chrysler on why there are someparts no longer available for the Prowler. Don't they have to supply all parts for at least 7 years?

I was told there was a time when manufactor built and supplied parts for 10 years. Now hear this my son has a 2006 SSR and dealer says the parts nec to open and close tonneau cover no longer avail. It is not opened manual but by remote elec.lifts.This is a large dealership in St.Pete.Fl so son ask if anyone interested in purchase of a 2006 SSR with 3500 mile.By the way lift was repaired and now operates.

Experience tells me that D-C waits till they have a back order of x amount and then make or contract for a run on those parts. This happened with torque converters and window regulators and air pressure sensors. So eventually they come available again. The torque converters were manufactured once there were 10 on back order and there were some 22 manufactured.
