Kathy and I want to thank Ed & Sandy for the great event. Even though we only came down for the dinner, I could hear all of the fun times we missed.

This was also a milestone since this was Kathy's first real ride in the Kat after having it three (!) years. She had a great time. Thanks to everyone for making her and myself feel so welcome.

Ed shows us the hitchhiking technique we will need to get back to our cars.

Ed thanks for organizing a non prowler event. Since we had no rain it could not be a prowler event even though we had so many prowlers in attendance(over 30). I know the problems you encountered leading up to the event but it went off very smoothly. Thanks again to both you and Sandy for all the hard work.

Just made it home 20 minutes ago 525 miles in 9 hours. finally we got out to see our Prowler family this year. It was great seeing everyone.

Ed thanks for a great time at the non-Prowler event. Nice and laid back.

The hotel was great. We hung out on the porch at night.

All the most modern amenities

The reastaurant was right next to the hotel

The restaurant even had a gift shop. Cracker Barrel eat your heart out!

Dinner?

Ed did a outstanding job organizing this event. Mary and I had a wonderful time. It was good to see the Canadians one last time before they become snow bound for a few months. Thanks again Ed.

We want to thank everyone who showed up. There were a few glitches along the way for sure. Hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves in spite of the glitches. Finally we had some decent weather for a get-together. The high this Thursday is supposed to be 43 so they picked the correct week for Tall Stacks.
It was good seeing everyone again and finally meeting Kevin's lovely wife, Kathy.
A side note, if you have never seen the A F Museum at Wright-Patterson just n.e. of Dayton, you are missing a real treat. That place is awesome now. They have a stealth bomber, a stealth fighter and lots of space craft and historical early planes. It is amazingly well done. I had not been there in years. You could spend 10 hours in there, easily.
Thanks again.

Ed and Sandy -
Tom and I would like to thank you both for a job well done. A great time was had by everyone, especially Tom and I. The choice of restaurant's (especially Pompilio's) was fantastic. Good food and a chance to meet both old friends and meet new ones. A great event and a big thanks to both of you.

Returned home this afternoon from another great Prowler event. Many thanks to Ed and Sandy for a fantastic time! Weather couldn't have been better and a great time was had by all. It was great to see all our friends again! Here are some pics from the visit to Rabbit Hash, KY, cruise in downtown Cincy, and the Tall Stacks Festival!

I forgot to mention Bambi's father almost met me just outside of Rabbit Hash. A 10 or 12 point buck came right to the right side of the road and turned and ran. MDProwler, Gary and Tammy, saw it. It was a not a real close call but if he had not turned around it would have been kind of dicey. We were going fairly slow since the road is only about 1 1/2 lanes wide but I would hate to call my insurance man again with another deer story.

RABBIT HASH, OLD DOGS, AND ED......

For those of you who weren't with us, here's a little insight about Rabbit Hash, Kentucky and why Ed took us there......

Rabbit Hash, Kentucky is situated on the banks of the Ohio River and consists of two log houses, an old beautiful barn plastered with those metal signs and old license plates, an antique store that's an antique in itself, and.....the "jewell" of Rabbit Hash; the "general store".
There you can get everthing from dill pickles or pickled sausage from a wide mouth jar (serve yourself) to a sack of Martha White flour or back scratchers made from a stick with a corn cob on the end of it. The general store appears to have been built in the 1930's and still looks pretty much the same as it did back then. It is a landmark that draws people from all over.....

Rabbit Hash's other "claim to fame" is it's mayoral election....The candidates are generally limited to a dog, cat and pig (or any other "critter" that wants the job)...

Patrons of the general store are encouraged to cast their ballots (you don't have to be a resident to vote)....The election is blatantly corrupt as "votes" are $1.00 each.....the more you pay, the more votes you get to cast...

The current mayor is a black lab named "Junior"......Junior's office is located on the front porch of the general store on warm sunny days and moves to a location near the pot bellied stove in the winter....

Rumor has it that Ed has been considering making a "run" for the office and brought his Prowler buddies there to "test the water"......As for me;.....well, I'm kinda leaning toward re-electing Junior

Seriously,....It's a real priviledge to be part of such a fun loving group of people and Ed and Sandy make it all work in our area.....So the next time you hear of something going on in our town, fire those Prowlers up and come join us.....

p.s.......Remember Junior's motto: VOTE AND VOTE OFTEN!!!!

:

This is how it is done in Illinois ... doesn't everyone do it this way???????????

The only difference is they the politicians pay the voters and your vote is worth more later in the day.

In Chicago the saying is VOTE EARLY AND OFTEN.

I made it home about 9:00 PM last night. WOW.... what a great time we had. The weather was great, the scenic drives were beautiful and the Air Force Museum was spectacular. The waterfront was beautiful ( day and evening), and we had a great time on the Riverboat. Ed and Sandy, thanks for hosting such a fun event. Wish everyone could have attended. For those who did; it was great seeing all of you again.
Kevin, we are all glad to see that Kathy has turned the corner, and will now hang out with the "Prowler Trash". (lol) Hope she makes it to another event.
It was great to see our friends from Canada one last time before Winter.
Mack and Jack......hope your hard top "woes" have ended.
Look forward to seeing everyone again in the Spring.

A.C., we missed your smiling face. We talked about you though..... and some of it was "good". ( lol)
Mike we missed you and Karen.
Some of the photos are from Thursday and Friday cruises, and everyone had not arrived yet. Some came on Saturday. I think we had around 30 cars by Saturday.
