It's only been gone two days, but the first time I went into the garage and the car was gone, I nearly shed a tear. Wondering what you guys suggest as a possible toy fix until I can get another Kat in a few years. Having $30K plus in a car right now is not feasable, but my wife has agreed to about $5K for a toy. I'm thinking older mazda miata or maybe Jeep? Any suggestions are appreciated and I'll still hang around this site for sure.

if you look, you can find mid eighties Vettes for $5K to $7K....easy to get parts for and easy to get rid of...the key is to get something that won't depreciate while you have a few smiles

Get a remote control Prowler and paint it balck tie silver and black ... enjoy the project, enjoy playing with it and then enjoy giving it to your kid when they are old enough! Save your dough!

I know how I would feel if I went out and found my Kat gone. I don't think any amount of money would take the place of my Midnite. By the way there is no 12 step program for "Prowleritise" It is often terminal(at least with me and a vast number of other owners out there). The best advice I can give you is to just give in and do what ever it takes to get another one. "GASP" maybe a second job !!!!
Seriously, maybe you can "share" one with another owner on some weekends for a tank of gas, and dinner or something like that. Get creative--I'll bet there's a way-somehow !!!
Let us know how this saga turns out-I really want to know, Obi-Wan

Love my Prowler but I also just got a 1990 Vette for $8,500 with just 39,000 miles on it ... great fun to drive and I'm starting to learn the Vette community is great just like the Prowler community ...

Ride shotgun with other Prowler owners in Houston when they get together......maybe they'll even let you drive!

CJ - The One and Only
1999 Black - PPROWLR
2002 Deep Candy Red - CJPROWLN
2002 Black California Kid Prowler - CAL KID

The Prowler makes you smile. Why? Because it's focused. It has a plot, a reason for being, a passion. It evokes the hot rod. It evokes the American Dream. This car is the human psyche.

Sell the wife, you might just have enough with your 5 large to get your Kat back.

Seriously once a kst owner alway's a kat owner, know what I mean.

DODGE DAYTONA TURBO......

Buy it, build it, enjoy till you can get another Kat!!!

I've always loved that car! (had 2) Really inexpensive but I believe it could be the next "collectible"...

Seriously doubt that I will ever be able to buy another.

i think i went through everyone of your emotions just thinking about selling mine !!
thank goodness the "poa" snapped me back into reality, before it was tooooo late.
i can't suggest what to do until you get another prowler, but if you come home everynight and put all your change and every "one" dollar bill from your pocket into a jug, in a years time, you will be alot closer to having another prowler !!!
good luck to you

sam
ps--thx ed for the comment next to the oct thingy--lol
