I just got in a little fender bender last Friday and now my hood needs to be repainted so I am looking for suggestions and opinions on tie colors for a Mulholland blue prowler. So far my favorite is the graphite silver on a Viper.

Example of the Viper color: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge-Viper-R-T-10-2000-Dodge-Viper-RT10-STEEL-GRAY-4500-MILES-BOTH-TOPS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6209QQihZ007QQitemZ170027822161QQrdZ1

What other color combos do you guys or gals like with a blue bottom and also what about pin strips?

With that blue convertible top it may not look good. But that's your choise. How about one of the BMW Z3 colors called midnight blue or topaz blue it would match your top.

The Chevrolet SSR two tone blue and silver is really nice. The silver is close to Prowler silver and the blue close to high voltage blue. Another color that would go well with a blue top is the Lexus Pearl White. Very classy looking IMHO.

Here is a black prowler with a Pearl White tie job. Not mine but it is for sale. Would love to see what you do to a Mulholland.

Sno - what do you mean you wouldn't change it?,,,,you like being in that exclusive group,,,,swine!

Check this picture out of Mike Krehel's cats,,,,one on the left. Its black on the bottom,,,but gives you an idea of what Catfish Jan was saying >>> silver on top. This picture was taken when Mike was messing around with his black and silver cats.

Pearl white or a Pearl vanilla shake (yes Vanilla shake is a color) would look good with the Mulholland.......My personal opinion would be the graphite would be too dark to go with the dark blue.

The only thing is with the top up it would not look as good as with the bottom the light color and darker top. A matching hardtop in the light color would look KOOL

The photo's of Mikes silver/black combos are probably the 1st Black tie's...he took the hood and decklid from the 2 cars and switched them.........I don't know if someone at DC seen them and thought, WHAT A GREAT IDEA or they actually come up wiht it on their own

SNO,
Just curious - What are some of the other color combos you considered?

Thanks

Pearl white on bottom- blue on top. Of course blue flames would have to be added to the pearl on the sides. With that combo, the blue top would still look good.

...the 2000 Viper in the EBay ad is "Steel Gray"...it has a blueish tint to it but still looks gray until you see it beside the 2002 "Graphite Gray"....they look alike till you see them together.....if you decide to go with the gray, make sure you look at both colors before you make your choice and make sure you get the year right so you can get the color correct...they are different....

...my opinion is pretty much like the others, silver would offer more contrast than the darker gray and the blue top would probably match the silver better too...if you didn't ask for an opinion, sorry, disregard the last paragraph...

...also I really like the idea of a "Vanilla" color with the Mulh blue...not a bright refrigerator white, but more like the new Chrysler 300.....

..bottom line, it's your car.....make it the way you want and don't worry what anyone else thinks....

pictured....I had a 2000 "Steel Gray" and a 2002 Viper GTS/ACR "Graphite".....difficult to tell in the pix, but in the sunlight there was a big difference between the two....I would love to see a Kat painted solid Graphite....very classy....

What about a pewter color? It's silver but, richer looking to me. I've seen several harley's with a black/pewter combo and that color just pops.
