Ok, I've made the decision. I'm going to a dealership in the next couple of weeks to trade my cat for a lightly used 2004 Ram SRT-10. My intention is to basically trade "even steven" for these two vehicles... the values are darn close to each other by my calculation. Before I go to a dealership to get raked over the coals by a salesweasel, I thought I'd check and see if there are any other members of this forum who would be interested in making this trade directly, owner-to-owner. My Prowler is an immaculate stock 2001 Mulholland Edition (chrysler make) with 7k miles. (Well, not entirely stock I guess. It does have a expensive and fancy aftermarket alarm.) I am located in Dallas Texas. I am mostly looking for the quad cab version of the SRT-10 but would consider the regular cab if I got an offer. Thanks, |

The prowler is just not that fast. I'm tired of getting my doors blown off my every Corvette, Mustang GT, Acura NSX, and turbocharged Xterra on the road. I want something with a lot of horsepower and this is the cheapest way to get it. These trucks used with low miles are going for $30k; the same engine in the Viper sports car configuration will cost you at least $60k, probably much more. |

If that's what you want go for it! You can always pick up another prowler later they aren't going anywhere. Value on the truck is going to depreciate though, I think the Prowler is pretty much bottomed out. Good luck, and post pics of the new truck when you get it. |

The Prowler may not be the fastest vehicle on the road but its no slouch. I don't think performance is the main reason why 99% of the members on here picked their Prowler. Do you honestly even give a Mustang GT a second look when you see one? Prowlers don't ever get a second look. That's because when someone spots a Prowler their eyes don't even blink until its out of sight! This message has been edited by wuzzzer on 09-10-2006 at 09:24 PM |

My father just got a 2005 Ram SRT 10 and got it at $15,000 under blue book. Great truck and is a steam roller once u get it moving, you could not stop it even if u wanted to. Pretty fast and for all the money he saved he does not care that he it only getting 11 miles to the gallon. |
