The last Prowler left the hotel parking lot early this afternoon. After a few hours of packing, loading the cars, cleaning up the parking lot (people actually left coolers filled with beer - and Jagermeister! - along with chairs)and returning the posts & bases we used to block off the parking area, Rebecca and I finally made the long 13 mile drive home.

On behalf of Gary, Kelly, Rebecca and myself, thank you all for coming and for helping to raise over $3500 for The Indian Summer Camp for Kids with Cancer and over $500 for POA.

We went through the registration list and counted all those that attended, subtracted the ones not driving Prowlers or who had flown in and added the half dozen locals that joined us with their Prowlers at one point or another and ended up with 101 Prowlers.

I believe the most we had in the parking lot at any one time was 84. That was making an educated guess as to how many were in the enclosed trailers overnight. Several people stayed at other hotels, at campgrounds, or at family/friends that live locally.

We hope you all found out that not everyone in Kentucky had teeth missing, goes barefoot, and lives in country shacks.

Post to let us know when you get you home!

I expect Marvin Gohl will be the last - he still has five more extra days and talked about going back to Seattle by way of Las Vegas.

Marty,
Thanks for all the work you,Rebecca, Kelly and Gary put into organizing this event. Even with the ran we had a good time.

It's nice to be able to meet people on the board to be able to associate faces with screen names.

To the Ushers and Archers -

Thank You!

I had a great time rain or shine. I'm glad I made a few new friends too.

I know it is a lot of hard work and keeps you four from having as good of a time as the rest of us, but again..

Thanks!

Thank you all for putting this together. We really enjoyed ourselves. Christened another kat in the Louisville rain and had lots of dry time to wash her up and go topless.

To the Ushers and Archers

Thanks for all your hard work. I've done something similar before when I was into racing sail boats (putting on our yearly awards dinner and end of season events) and I really appreciate all the work you went thru both during the week of the event and the months preceding it.

Thanks again

To the Ushers & Archers...Thanks to all of you for undertaking such a huge task that was enjoyed by all! So happy to hear the auction was a tremendous success that will benefit the children's camp.

We are still in GA for a while...and of course the weather was perfect today!

Thanks again!!

After a grueling 1 1/2 hour drive, we arrived home safely.
Thanks Gary & Kelly, Marty and Rebecca. We had a great time. All the food was excellent and the bed was comfy. The parking lot was a ton of fun. I have an extra chair that someone left near my trailer. Small blue one. Let me know and I will forget to bring it with my own chairs at the next event.
Great job by the Ushers and Archers planning all of that. Thanks to all the others who helped out, contributed gifts and bid GENEROUSLY. It was a fun week.

Arrived home this evening after an uneventful (and dry) trip. It was great to see all our friends again and meet more new ones. Lots of pictures to go through and stories to tell, but I'm too tired tonight to even begin. It's amazing how having so much fun can wear you out!

Thanks to Marty and Rebecca and Gary and Kelly for another outstanding event. Thanks and congratulations to all who participated in the raffle and the auction which resulted in a wonderful gift for the Indian Summer Camp and the POA.

We had a blast!!!

Thanks to all who contributed to organizing this wonderful event. We had an awesome time. It was good to see old friends and we made plenty of new ones to boot. We made it home safe, however Mother Nature took one last shot at us before we got home. With only 13 miles to go it poured buckets. At one point traffic slowed to 15 mph on the interstate it was raining so hard. For those that were at the Texas Stampede, think Houston. Before it started raining the temp was 104 degrees in Georgia. By the time we got into the thick of the rain the temp had dropped 30 degrees.

Got home safe, beautiful ride, sunny all the way. Met up with Grand Touring Louise & Richard just out of Louisville & cruised to Cleveland. They stopped at our house to take a break before going on to Canada. Great people. I've been involved with cars a long time & met a lot of people thru the car hobbie, but I've never met a nicer bunch of people then you guys in the P.O.A. Bonnie & myself felt very welcome at this our 1st. Prowler event. You people are awesome!!! We're booking Tulsa in the morning. See you at Woodward in a few weeks. Thanks to MeanGene for the casino trip. As for other people I've met this week, the jury is still out concerning Ed, Meancat,& A.C. Many thanks to Marty, Rebecca, Gary & Kelly for a great time. Looking foward to the next event. You guys are nuts. Bonnie & Mac

Marty, Rebecca, Gary and Kelly: Even though I was only there for about 14 hours, I had a great time - the hotel was fantastic and it was a blast seeing everyone again and meeting several new people! Thanks so much for all of your hard work - and also thanks for the rain - now the Texas event won't be the only one talked about for having a wet event!!! T

Glad you guys had a quick trip home. Took Lorraine and myself 15 hours. We got off an exit for gas and drove 15 miles before we hit Gassaway WV. What a place! Brought back my memory of Deliverance with Burt Reynolds. I'm not getting off any more exits for gas unless I see a sign from the highway. (880 miles) It was Lorraines First Prowler Event and now she has the Fever!!! LOL!!For all the Members who haven't been to a Prowler event you missed a very interesting Group of people. The Ushers and Archers put on a great show. All the people who contributed did a great job. Thanks to everyone, it was memorable. I'm not driving over 24 hours to Tulsa. I'll fly in!! My Kat took a Pounding on the roads in Jersey and PA. I loved route 79 great scenic road. Thanks CT and Lorraine

Thanks to Marty, Rebecca, Gary and Kelly for putting on such an enjoyable event. All the hard work and planning paid off. Thanks to all that contributed to the event with pins, dash plaques, name badges and donations of prizes. Thanks to all that attended the event. Without the fellow Prowler Owners in attendance this event would not have been as successful as it was.

Thanks again.

Wow, what a great week!! Got back home last night about 8:00 PM. Rebecca, Kelly, Marty, and Gary thanks so much for providing us with such a great time. I think the highlight of the week was the night Rebecca could not stop laughing. You guys picked a great hotel, with a great staff and comfy rooms. As usual it is great to see old friends and meet all of the new ones. I look forward to seeing the ones who will be at Woodward in a few weeks. I have pics to go thru and will try and post soon. I am thrilled at the results from the auction. It is a wonderful feeling to know that you may have helped a sick child have a better day. See you all again soon.
