The shipment of 16,056 POA candy red Prowlers, all 223 cases weighing approximately 1,800#, arrived late yesterday afternoon. We worked well into the night and through today. All paid orders were prepared for shipment within 24 hours of their arrival, including those to Canada. We must have made the Post Office's day with something like $2,500 in postage. Please be aware, if you're headed to Louisville the shipment may arrive before you return. I didn't have the time to separate people attending Louisville from everyone else. We moved them with my Durango and the vendor's Chevy Suburban. Both were loaded to the roof including the center and right side of the front seats. Another five boxes and we'd have had to make a second trip. The only place open in the garage was the stall where CJ's trailer was parked. So brilliant here piled the cartons between the door and the trailer. The only way to get the trailer out to go to Louisville was to ship the cars. I hope that it doesn't cause a hardship for anyone. I was advised by my dear wife when she returned home AFTER ALL OF THE CARTONS WERE UNLOADED, that maybe I should have moved the trailer out before unloading, DUH!!!! So that's the good news. Maisto let us down again. We Mike K,the vendor and I) scrambled around and sent hi-res POA logo art work to China when they requested it. They sent the card proof back, which we approved. It wasn't until we opened the first box on the pallets yesterday afternoon that we learned that they had simply added a sticker to each card. The sticker reads "Produced exclusively for the Prowler Owner's Association." I'm personally disappointed but I guess that at least they have some personalization and the unique color. We didn't pay anything extra for the tag or logo but I don't have an explanation as to why they didn't produce to the proof they provided. We got the color that we went out for and I guess that we have the added bonus of being labeled for POA. At least they shipped on time and in the correct quantity. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Thanks for making this happen. If it's any consolation, just think of the great big smiles your work will bring to kids of all ages when they get one of these beauties (at a parade, drive in, cruise in or just because). Kevin |

It's nice that Bob saw fit to say "We". However, I believe in giving credit where credit is due. Bob picked the cars up, worked until 1 a.m. running off the shipping labels, working most of the day to get all the cases ready to ship. He's handled this whole thing pretty much by himself and believe me, it's a lot of work. It's a shame that Maisto did not follow through on the changes to the blister card, but it is cool that they agreed to do the Candy Red. They look awesome!! |
