If you're in the market for a new Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep, we can help fellow Prowler owners save some money and enjoy a hassle free buying experience. I have some Friends and Family certificates available for fellow POA members. This program does not benefit us in any way other than that We appreciate your support of Chrysler Group vehicles. For those new members that haven't heard this before, most Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge (including the Viper convertible) vehicles, with the exception of Dodge Caliber, Viper SRT10 Coupe, the SRT8 models, Dodge Sprinter qualify. This also applies to Canadian vehicles. Please keep in mind that dealers are not obligated to honor this program. You can purchase or lease for 1% below dealer invoice (which could be up to 11% or more below MSRP) plus a $75 administration fee. It can be a vehicle in dealer inventory, or it can be a specifically ordered vehicle. You do not need the certificate number until you take delivery of the vehicle. It takes the painful negotiation out of the process and assures the purchaser that they received a fair price. All current consumer incentives available on the model selected apply, in addition to the 1% under dealer invoice. There is often extra incentive money available when there is a major auto show in town, for realtors, for Farm Bureau members, recent college graduates or those about to graduate, military and even physically challenged. Here is the procedure: Visit your local dealer and tell them you have the opportunity to purchase a vehicle using the Friends and Family program certificate. If they agree to honor the program, choose your vehicle (either from inventory or ordered). The dealer should be willing to show the vehicle invoice to you. The price that shows "PP" (preferred price) after it is the price that Chrysler has set for the vehicle under the F&F program. It is a no hassle price and the dealer cannot negotiate the price as set by DC. Dealers may elect in rare cases to "share" some of the dealer cash that they receive periodically on select vehicles. You can not ask the dealer to share this money. If anyone is interested in taking advantage of this program, contact CJ through the Private Message feature, email her at Only1CJ@comcast.net or call 248.650.3321 EST. |

I recently went through this experience to buy a Jeep Commander for my wife's birthday. This is a very generous offer - especially when you consider you GET ALL THE CURRENT INCENTIVES. Bob, thanks again for offering this to us. We are VERY happy with our DC purchases. Kevin |

This is a great program. Through my work, I can use the Friends and Family program. This past weekend I was able to get out of the Grand Caravan and into a Durango. Best part is I got the Durango for 1% under invoice plus the $5,000 cash back plus the DVD system. All in all, it was a $41,000 truck for $27,000. No hassles at all. Plus I got Kelley Blue Book high end for the Grand Caravan. Wrote a check for under $10,000. Of course have already started ordering mods for it!

We love our new Durango. We got it to pull the Kat to Tulsa next summer. I just re-read Bob's email and realized we were not even charged the $75 processing fee! This really is a painless way to buy a new vehicle. My employer, GE, has this arrangement with Ford and GM as well. Even though the GM deal is 4% below dealer invoice, we will continue to choose DC products. |

Chrysler has just released some new owner loyalty incentives. If you're a current owner of a Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep, you qualify for an additional $1,000 rebate on Grand Cherokee's and a $750 rebate on Town & Country's. I know Dodge has some too, but not sure which vehicles qualify. Brian Long |

Hey Bob, Is this program a better deal in cost savings than not using the "friends and family" and negotiating with a dealer using a portion of the "dealer holdback" for further purchase price reduction? Charlie |

quote: We're typically 2-2.5% below invoice on all our new vehicles(excluding SRT models) when I sell them through the internet department, but there are many places that take several hours if not days to get to this price. This program does save an enormous amount of time for the average consumer, though. JMO

If you enjoy negotiating, you may try to negotiate for part of the dealer's holdback and maybe some of his dealer cash above the consumer incentives. The nice part about the Friends and Family Certificates is the fact that you can purchase a vehicle for a fair price knowing that the dealer made a minimal profit. The no hassle part is priceless to most consumers. If you enjoy the "negotiating war," go for it. |

Our last three vehicles have been either through the Employee Choice or Friends and Family program. The most painless car buying experiences we have ever had. Thanks Bob and CJ |
