...man...was I wrong!!! I had to attend a firefighting refresher school last week at the Texas A & M university campus at College Station, TX. It was AWESOME!!!
I had been in touch with Mike and Judy for a while and asked them if they were free, I would love to have coffee or even dinner with them, so that I could personally thank them for all that they have done. I didn't know just how much time I would have with school and all. So much to see and so little time!!! I'm sure they were ready to get rid of me after about 10 minutes. It was so cool to see such a beautiful collection of Prowlers in an extremely well engineered climate controlled environment. I was very cautious walking around all the gorgeous cats but that's when I realized...I was under the watchful eye of the "Chief Curator". The legend himself...Alley Cat!!! Mike even asked if I would like to sign his guestbook. I started to walk towards his desk when he pointed towards the back wall. I mean how cool is that. His guestbook is a Gold Prowler hood!
When we got back to the Krehel's everyone was a little tired. Probably from having to listen to me for that long of a time. I wouldn't wish that upon anyone! We went back into the museum for one final time. I still couldn't believe what I was seeing. I know a good portion of you have had the opportunity to meet the Krehel's and have them show you around their beautiful home and museum but this was the first time for me and I am still in shock. We all know that the POA wouldn't exist if it wasn't for you guys. This website is truly an invaluable tool for every Prowler owner. Thanks for listening everyone and I hope you all have a great night!!! Brian |

Brian - Yes,,,,you were under my watchful eye while touring the Prowler Museum. As Chief Curator, I allow no fingerprints on the cars,,,,, or dirty shoes within the sterile atmosphere of the palatial Prowler Museum. Also Brian,,,I want to thank you for dropping that crisp, new twenty dollar bill into the jar in my curator's office,,,,the one marked Alley Cat's Old Age Retirement Fund Donations. Actually,,I expected more, but the twenty is still appreciated, lol. Glad you enjoyed the tour and dinner with Mike and Judy |

Brian - Yikes! I'm glad both of your hands are showing in that picture of us, lol. Judy - The cars are dusty? My 'lot boy' Mike Gatlin must be slacking on the job again When his name comes up for his annual job performance review,,,,,I'll be sure to berate him for allowing dust to be exposed within the museum, and no pay raise for him!!! The girls confiscated my tip jar money for dog treats? |

Sorry Larry, I am too busy with the doggie bag. At least half of the wings he left had a lot of good eatin' on them. Brian actually left $50 for you but I wasn't sure you had ever seen one before so I tried to make change and all I had was a $20. |

Larry, I tossed the chicken bones out into the fish pond. They confuse the piranha into thinking they already ate. Brian, Mike and Judy are great hosts. When I was there they set up a huge barbecue, threw up some huge tents and opened up the museum just for me. Just so happens it was the same week of the Texas Prowler Stampede and all those people came and spoiled the fun. |

Too bad I didn't know you were here in town then, we could have met up for lunch or dinner. College Station is a pretty amazing place with the Fire School, Texas A&M University, The George Bush Presidential Library and all. Heck I would have picked you up in one of the new Sheriff's Chargers! |

Say, how about some of you good Texan's planning a cruise in that could take in the museum as a side trip so we can convince the wives to let us go? It would be an honor to have a chance to Prowl your fine state. I just can't get any mushier! |

The visit to the Krehel museum was one near the top of the many high points we have had owning a Prowler and being part of the POA. Others top events in no particular order include attending our first National event (which was at Woodward (August 2000), our first of eventually four visits to CAAP(August 2000) , our first of several visits the Harold Sullivan collection(August 2000), Tour of MSX facility (August 2005), Black Tie party at DC (August 2000), The Farewell Tribute at CAAP (February 2002), meeting Jimmy Addison (August 2005), Winning the Long Distance Award at the Chrysler Classic Car Show held at the Museum (August 2000) |
