I decided to take the Kat out today to a local Car Show for a Volunteer Fire Department Fundraiser. The weather was perfect, 80 degrees and a little cloudy. The Prowler ran great, the new battery corrected all of my electrical issues. The Judges liked the car and trailer, but I was a little worried about winning anything once the classed me in the 1973 and up Class! But at the awards presentation, they called out Car #45, a 2001 Chrysler Prowler, First Place, 1973 and Up Class!!!! Not bad considering the competition. The crowds still love taking pictures next to it and asking questions about it. But it looked a little like rain once things were over, so instead of cruising, she is back at home now till the next show! This message has been edited by TLRandall on 03-13-2006 at 07:54 PM |

You know how we get votes here in Texas! I just like getting the car out and keeping the public interested in our Prowlers. So many folks have questions about them, and many have never seen one up close. There was a Viper there a few cars down on my same row, and he did not have near the pictures taken as mine did! It's a lot of fun to me, but I have always liked attending car shows! This message has been edited by TLRandall on 03-11-2006 at 11:07 PM |

NOW THAT'S A STORY!!!! Many of you will remember that after having my hood struts replaced, the ends broke off and jammed my hood closed! It took the Dealer hours to figure out how to free the jammed strut so that they could open the hood! But the FIFTH set did work, and, so far, the hood stays open. I do use a piece of plastic tubing between the strut and the end while the hood is up to take the weight off the strut. |
