Well, she's gone. Put it up about 2 weeks ago. (isn't if funny about some timing? )Sold for just under asking price.

A good friend of mine told me when I was going to sell it to "keep my dignity" , and I did. Walked away with my head up. I had much more into it, but never did anything to this car as a investment, only pure enjoyment.

I will miss it, but I did everything I wanted to with the car. I know of only one other that could compare in looks and that was Jim Angels down in LA, (not including George's extreme car). It was fast, but without major more dollars poured into the car again, it still would not as fast as these cars should be. Plus the weak tranny issue just kills it for a speed car.

I will probably have a lot to say about many things, LoL. But for now, it's sold.
Right now I have my 52 Plymouth in the shop to re-locate the front king pins to get a 3 inch drop in the front end and still keep full spring and shock action.

You all have fun,, I sure did.

I don't plan on owning another Kat. Mine was the tops in my eyes. Anything else would be, ,, well, less.

CJ I plan on driving the 52 there this summer. I have a line on two overdrives for it. I will do carburetor rebuild and be good to go. It is in the shop right now getting the front end lowered.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone.
Thought this was a cool pic

Hey Pal, glad you are Happy with your decision to sell. You're right, it would have been real hard to improve the Bullet, it was one-of-a-kind. I know exactly how you feel. Let me know if you need any help in scrounging up '52 parts, your friend Buddy.
PS- if you ever miss the Prowler, you are welcome to come on over anytime and drive mine!

That was a beautiful car JD. The chrome rear, the relocated cooler, and the exhaust... oh the exhaust. That was the best sounding Prowler I’ve ever heard. I can only hope that someday we can get ours sounding as good. I wish we had 1/10 the Prowler knowledge as you.

Melissa and I are sad to see you sell. We wish you all the best.

Hey JD

Congrats on the sale I will call you later man.

Wonder if we both flew to Texas if Buddy would let me drive his car also, I kinda doubt it unless I left my boots at home he wouldn't even let me in the car.

Don't forget everyone I still have a lot of JD's left overs for sale will post an updated list by tomorrow night

Curtis

I am shocked. I cannot believe you sold it. Who bought it? Did you tell them about the POA? Sorry to see you sell it for sure, JD. It is a great looking car, for sure.
See you in Detroit.

That was quick! Glad you got what you wanted.
Gonna really miss that SC whine while cruising with ya.
I thought we were gonna try Woodward next year? Guess I better see about changing that August fishing trip.

JD west - sorry to see you sell your fine looking cat, but I understand your thoughts,,,,,,just no further to go without spending ten's of thousands of $$$. Speed costs so much money to gain so little at times,,,,,then there is always somebody faster in something else. It never ends.

Keep us posted on the progress of the Cranbrook,,,,one fine car. Glad to see you'll continue to read and post at the POA.

I had a paper here yesterday with a 53 with HEMI for $800. I don't remember what it was but I would think many parts from 52 & 3 the same.

I don't know what you are going to look for in a Hemi for the cran, but they are all cool looking. A friend has a small hemi in his 32 coupe.

If interested I will try and find it.

Hey Larry,

Thanks, but I am going to drop a crate motor in after a year or two. Keeping the outside stock mostly. All the beef will be under the hood and drive train. It runs great with the flathead 6 it has now. I want it to be a sleeper.

Hey Ed, I haven't forgotten to reply. I am in somewhat shock too. But it was just time to move on. I hope we see each other again soon, same with you Geno, and all my prowler friends.
