The third brake light went out on my Kat over a year ago. My dealer said is was not under warr. or even the extended gold coverage. I tried my luck at another dealer earlier this year only had my Gold coverage now no they don't do light assemblys under our Warr. So today I came across customer service. WOW! I should have done this in the begining!!! I was honest and polite and very pleasently supprised. The kind gentleman put me on hold contected my dealer and mad arangements to have this problem fixed.

I must say I am VERY happy so far. On Monday the 19th when I take in the Kat I will tell the service manager that if they will not pay for it to not order it. I will turn in my contract and use that money to fix it. (in a way that money used to but the contract to fix these things will be used to fix something)

Thanks all. for your time I'ts just been frustrating.

I'm also very happy with them at the moment. Just picked up my Prowler with both front shocks replaced and also new struts on the hood. The only charge was my deductible (on my extended warranty). Anyone have a guess as to what that would have cost me if not covered ?

YES..it is appropriate to recognize DC when they do things RIGHT as well. I have to say when my car was under warrantee they did pretty much everything I requested and treated me right. I got a new (not rebuilt)transmission and new design less fogging headlights without a problem.

ok so here is the current deal. 1. I need to prood read my posts, no I'm not 6 years old, wow you would think a 6 Year old had written it.

2. I will pay $200 $100. for Labor, and $100 deductible. I'm Verry happy. I go in on Tues. and will repete the $200. deal because I was quoted $800. for just the piece! so I'm quite happy

Thank you DC.

PROOD,,, argh I can only try!!

Ok here's the scoop. I took the car in today I payed $100. DED. and $135. for labor to install my third brake light. (he did not tighten it, or did not replace the seal) so when they washed it there was water in the trunk carpet. it was not soaked but enough for me to look at the light and have water drip out if I wiggled the assembly.

It never ends, does it. At least you caught it right away before it wiggled, came loose and scratched the paint.
