Last Thursday there were 2 Kats that got sold at the Manheim dealers auction. 2001 Orange w/7K miles. scuffed on the nose and a lg scuff on the rt. rocker, sold for $33.600 (plus fees) 01 Mulholland about 7K miles also. Sold for $31,000 (plus fees) EDIT: Apparantly there also was a 99 Red that sold for 31,600 (plus fees) also not too bad at all Not too shabby at all for an end of October sale where in general the prices were down. Remember these are WHOLESALE prices and will be resold for more This message has been edited by JRL on 10-22-2005 at 08:12 AM |

With cars as far as resale you just never know, but I always somehow felt that Prowler would be a relatively safe investment in a sea of depreciating assets. It's nice to know what they're bringing at auctions now...thanks for the info1 Just think...in 20 years it'll be Jackson Barrett Auctions bringing just under a million for a nice low mileage Prowler....you never know! |

Kats (if they have under 10K miles) didn't drop too far. There was a period about 2 years ago when it looked as if they were declining, but not this year. I wholesaled my 99 (a custom and dealers don't like that, unknown quantity), in May and got about $32,500 or thereabouts. I think if you keep it a garage queen, drive it maybe 2000-3000 miles a year, they should now hold prices fairly well and MAY even go up!(in price) This message has been edited by JRL on 10-22-2005 at 06:08 PM |

quote: Mulhollands are the 2nd least desirable (Inca Gold being the 1st least liked). Followed by Silver then Black, with YELLOW!!! being the MOST desirable, (at least as far as dealers are concerned). Not enough info on the (300)Candy Reds or the two tones. That Orange is somewhere in the middle of the pack This message has been edited by JRL on 10-22-2005 at 06:13 PM |

I'm glad these fine little cars are bring a good price. As far as leaving my prowler set in the garage and not drive it so it will hold its price. I don't think so. If I can have half as much fun as my wife and I have had this past year, with it for a few more years, I will have gotten a million bucks worth of pleaser out of it. I would rather drive the car and see it tun over 100K, and have the car not worth one red cent. I would be a happy man |
