I would guess they are mostly registered users that are not signed in. I just brought up the fact that only registered members should be able to view our email addresses due to spam emailers phishing them off of the site. |

Being a registered member on this board gives you the privileges of being able to post in the discussion forums. You also have to be a registered member to purchase through our Prowler store (which is a directive by DC in our licensing agreement with them). There are a lot of Prowler owners who are not interested (or are not comfortable) in posting. However, they do read everything and gain info on what is going on in the Prowler world. They can check on recall info, event info, etc. without having to post. The number of registered members you see on the Discussion Forum page is not a true reflection of the number of owners who "belong" to this group. I get a lot of email from owners who don't post, but ask info, for help, etc. This is perfectly fine. If I am understanding correctly, even if you are a "registered" member, you may show up as a "guest" if the cookies aren't set properly.......Mike K.....correct me if I'm wrong. We should never make this a "Members Only" (registered) site as we would be eliminating a great number of owners who enjoy and participate in the site (and events) without having to "register" to have posting privileges. ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |

I don't think a members only policy would be beneficial. I think that it is fine just the way it is. |

The Prowler Owners Association is based on the honor system through contributions. It has worked very well through the years and I see no reason to change it at this time. All we ask is that if you've benefited from the information available on the POA, that you help defray operating costs with a yearly contribution . Any amount is greatly appreciated! ------------------ |

I rarely post on POA, its just a time factor thing for me... This weekend I had a problem with the PT and had a heck of a time finding a PT site that didn't require you to sign up just to read their forum! I ended up paying PT DIY for the info I needed, because after finally signing up in a forum they said get the info from PT DIY... After that experience I appreciate POA even more! I made my 06 donation early... |

I would not be an owner if I couldn't post here. I found mine from another poster here on the board. I think certain info should be limited to registered users. |

I think the current system is fine, don't stir the trouble pot if it doesn't need to be stirred. Mike is doing a fine job, members and guests can benefit from the site. I know several people who were visitors to this site and after gleaning information made the right choice and purchased their car. They read and obtained great info from owners and based on that info bought a Prowler. A couple told me they would have been Leary of buying such a specialty car but with the great support group we have here they went ahead and purchased their Kat. Many want to know they aren't alone when owning the greatest car in the world! This message has been edited by nitrosteve on 02-26-2008 at 04:24 PM |

I am pretty sure that you have to be registered and logged on to view email and member information, and you can select for your email to not be viewable through your control panel.

The reason for my post...where did this come from? This is a dead issue taken care care of long before. Look at the date posted and you will see Oct.3, 2005. Newcomer Steve Williams posted by accident to an old post. Most members in question here are no longer welcomed on this site. |
