Not to worry! Our server is physically located in Atlanta. As Judy said, we're preparing the best we can here in Houston. Since Buffalo Bayou is located in our back yard there will be several of the special cars on our lifts to keep them high and dry. I'll try to post as soon as I can once Rita passes by with the details. |

Mike - Since the Buffalo Bayou runs along the compound,,,maybe we could put Ed to use and cement him in as a depth gauge for us to watch as the water rises? |

Oh AC, I am envisioning your suggestion and shudder to think what bodily markers you may call out as the water rises on Ed! |

Ray - I was only thinking about Ed's POA banner,,,,that he uses sometimes, where all you see is his nose, eyes, and hat. That is his best picture! The less I see of him,,,the better I like it, lol. |

CJ, my daughter actually lives in Ft Myers, FL. They have just had lots of rain as I understand. My trip to the Keys was "on the way to her place" and to take advantage of having the prowler that far south and say that I been to the Keys in it. Stay safe y'all in Texas - I know it can rain a lot down there on a normal day. |

I think I would have them take a ride north in a hauler(s) for a week or so. Good luck everyone down that way. This message has been edited by MDProwler on 09-22-2005 at 09:27 AM |

I was living in Houston (Missouri City) in 1983 when Alicia hit. That storm was a category 3 and it was a big nasty storm. I've been hearing on the news that this storm is going to be a cat 4 or cat 5 when it comes on land. That is scary. |

Make all the preperation you can then get out.I know it is very hard to walk away from things you probable spend all your life building up but what else can you do by staying. It taken me a lot to relize this but I tried staying once and said I won't leave then after seeing life flash before us we changed our minds.Think about it,if car is as high as it will go in air on blocks or lifts what else can you do once water and winds start coming in.Good luck to all and GOD BLESS. |
