Well first off I bought a prowler about 2 months ago and have loved every second of driving it. But the part that is making me go nuts is the fact that the dealer I bought it from is jacking me around on the process to get my plates for the car. Right now I have that little slip of paper in my window but that is going to expire in about a month and this guy is so dumb I am worried that he will not ever get to the DMV to finish up his end of the sale. The dealer is about 3 hours away and that is why I have not went in there and raised he**. At this point he says that the DMV knows of the change of owners but is now asking for a smog check on the car that I have already faxed him 3 weeks ago. My question is is there a way to take this in to my own hands and get this settled and not have to go through this dumbie, I have already been pulled over once for not having plates and I live in a small town where cops love to pull you over for anything! Thanks for your guy's help! |

If you are a member of AAA, just go to their office and they can look it up on their computers. Also Congratulations on owning a great car. Howard |

I would call the General Manager of the dealership and relay your predicament. Ask him what the dealership plans on doing to resolve the situation, that you've waited long enough. You can also call the DaimlerChrysler Customer Center and file a complaint. They should be able to contact the dealer and/or the District Manager. Their number is 800.992.1997. Congratulations on your new cat!! CJ ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |

Car was probably floor planned and the dealer used your money for something else instead of paying it off and getting your title. Having owned a small business, I can tell you that he probably had a choice between paying off your car or paying some BS tax so he could keep his doors open!! (he chose the latter)Been there and done that!! Every time you turn around, you owe some crap tax that keeps you from turning a nice profit for the month!! |

foot to the floor, is the dealer located in the same state you live in? I can attest to the fact that every state is very complex for outside dealers to understand their proceedures. The AAA sugguestion is a great one and they are very helpful. I would also check the iternet for your states dmv info. Try to avoid calling chryslers 800 number, as they are only a complaint clearing house and will forward your complaint to the dealer. You'll spend more time waiting for a chrysler rep, who will not be able to assist in any other way than forward the complaint to the dealer. Calling the dealer directly is much more efficient. chris |

first off What color?... Don't get mad get even and go to the DMV and show them your tax receipt and that little pink slip and tell them to give you an extension and them tell the dealer that you will stand outside of his shop and tell every new person and old for that matter that he is a thief... see what happens LoL As far as the cops well I had temps for 3 months and got pulled over 3 times and sometimes it was just for a chat so .... You have and incredible machine ...start enjoying the attention Good luck |

Put plates from a diff. vehicle on it temporarily. They are probably not going to bother checking the plate to see if it registered to that car. Keep all the paper work with you. |

I think the dealers sit on the money. I bought my Prowler from an out-of-state dealer. The dealer collected the sales tax for my state and took the a full 30 days to return the paperwork and tax check. Guess I didn't look like a repeat buyer. Anyway, congratulations on the new car and welcome. ------------------ |
