Well, after five months of anticipation, we attended the Dukes of Hazzard Premiere last night at the Rave Theater in Baton Rouge. They had a display with Travis Brock's General Lee and four of the Race cars used in the movie including my 78 Yellow Vette. The Vette made it into about six seconds of racing (after 30 days of filming). Actually, it was the only Warner Bros rental car to make the final cut into the racing scenes. So. I guess we'll have to wait until December to get the DVD with all the other action...
There were two TV stations (one from New Orleans) covering the event. they even had a red carpet laid out and lots of extras from the movie attended. I took several pictures including two of the Yellow Vette on the Movie screen... Here's some pictures at this link. Go see the movie it was fun... laddie... |

VERY COOL LAddie ... I wouldn't mind having your autograph on a CC receipt or two myself! I saw Wedding Crashers (Very Funny flix) and Fantastic 4 (Great Action and "scenery") last night, planning on seeing The Dukes on Sunday! I did filming in my '73 Vette for a GM commercial that tied in the National Council of Corvette Clubs theme (NCCC) ... was five days of filming at different locations ... long days and commercial lasted I think a little over a minute or so! But there I am in my milisecond of fame ... so bask in the fact your car even made it to the final product -- CONGRATS |

Thanks for keeping us updated through the filming and premier. We and the rest of Hazzard County GA watched the film opening night and enjoyed it. I'll see it again just to watch the credits and outtakes. I hear that they had 30 '69 Chargers when they started and very few when completed. Gordon |

quote: Very Cool Laddie! I read they destroyed 23 of the 30 Chargers made up for the movie..........they are fun to watch but I hate the fact they do not care for the value of the cars they destroy |

I saw it Friday night, language in the film is not for kids, no F words but plenty of sob's & Gd's. the bloopers at the end of the movie were funny. thought the movie was just ok Mike |

Just came back from seeing it ... primary purpose, to see Laddie's car and well, Jessica's *** -ets! Thought movie in general was just so-so ... music was good for the car chases, but beyond that ... I liked the series MUCH better and never used to miss an episode. The real Roscoe P. Coltrain was the BOMB, as was the original Boss Hogg too. Oh well ... of the three movies this weekend ... Wedding Crasher's gets the nod for best film, then Fantastic 4 and then Dukes. |

Laddie: I've told several people to look for your car. I'm not much of a movie goer, but I'm definitely going to check this one out just to see your yel'ler vette. |

Laddie - Took the kids to see "Dukes of Hazzard" last night. It was cool to see your yellow vette near the end of the rally scene. Your ten seconds of fame! |
