Try reading "The Prowler Story". It is interesting and informative: http://www.prowleronline.com/story.php
Major differences other than color is 97 had iron block engine, no 98's made, 99 offered chrome wheels as options for a while, then standard and aluminum block engine, 2000 & later models had suspension change for smother ride, chrome shifter bezel added, autovolume radio feature, and trip computer with display in mirror. |

IF YOU ARE DECIDING ON A YEAR GO WITH EITHER 2001 OR 2002,LOW MILES UNDER 5,000 THEN GO FOR COLOR BLUE,ORANGE,YELLOW,SILVER,BLACK TIE, WOODWARD? INCA GOLD, I THINK I HAVE THE COLORS CORRECT THERE MIGHT BE MORE COLORS IN 01 AND 02. RICK |

Deep Candy was 2002. Why do you think 2001 & 2002 are better? 2000 was just about the same as 2001 & 2002 and I also have a 99 that I have had very few problems with. I drive that way more than the Candy. |

I have a 99 Black and an 02 Candy........there are differences, but have had relatively few (if any) problems with either. I think the major difference between the 99s and 2000 and up was the change in suspension, which resulted in a smoother ride.....however, it's all what you are used to. ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |
