This came to me while at the Chrysler's at Carlisle show. While I have read (and saw this weekend) about Kat owners, picking up small prowler matchboxes to give to kids, I would think it would be tough to find any quantities or lower priced toys to do this on a larger scale. I always thought that it was such a neat idea, and this weekend I saw the smile on kids faces when Mean Gene did this. Now onto my idea, at the carlisle show, dodge was handing out the rubber bracelets (like the lance armstrong "livestrong" yellow braclets) that promoted the new charger and I started thinking what a great giveaway to have produced and give to the kids. I have no idea how much they would run to have a batch produced with either a kat, or some type of logo on it. I wouldn't think they are very expensive in a large quantity. I have no problem pricing this option out for anyone that would like to give these out at shows, but if someone has already been through this or maybe a kat owner out there has access to an advertising or printing company. Please post your opinioins and if no one has any experience, I will run with it. I would think if enough people were interested, we could even have a bunch of different colored braclets produced, since color seems to be an issue with so many of you fellow kat owners (ha, ha). Yellow Rules! Thank you, |

I have been buying matchbox Prowlers on E-bay and by the time I have to outbid Ransom, they cost me about 2 bucks each. It is worth it just to make those kids, and their parents, smile. Can we still make group purchase of little cars? For other items, Got Two, in The Colony, Texas owns a business which specializes in promotional items. He has lots of money, so I'm sure he could help (He owns 2 Prowlers, so he must have lots of money. Jim correct me if I'm wrong). I would participate in a group purchase of something else, but will continue to hand out little cars. Great Idea!!! |

I personally don't think bracelets would have have the same effect on very young kids which is whom we give them to. I have less than a half case of Prowlers left to hand out. |

My son just sold 12,000 embosed bracelets for a school project. The costs can be very reasonable $0.50 each if you buy in large qtys of 15,000. At $1 you need to buy 1000 bands usually and they will allow you to have 500 yellow and 500 blue (for example). I don't know of a prowler band which means the mfg will require at least the 1000 bands to even talk to you. Stay away from screen printed bands as the message only last a few days. We don't have any Prowler bands but we have Patriotic bands that say FREEDOM, SUPPORT THE TROOPS, and others like GIT-R-DONE, RESPECT etc.. His class project is done and he is selling these out at cost if anyone is interested let me know and I can post some info for you. Send my a PM if you want other wise. Greg |

I, too, handout 1/64 scale Prowlers to kids when I'm trolling around, and especially duriung parades I'm asked to be in. Months ago (last fall/early winter?) we placed a group order through a fellow POA member, Matthew Kaufman. He is a great guy and has an "in" with a major manuafacurer. I brought 4 gross and am now down to my last case. I would love the opportunity to purchase more. Kevin |

quote: What happened to the all-new "It's Raining Men-mobile"? I personally don't like these rubber "bracelets" no matter what the cause .. and specially kids would look cross eyed at me handing them one of those versus a small matchbox of the car they are standing there looking at. I too would like someone to run them again ... down to one case myself. |

I'm down to only about 20 yellow matchbax Prowlers. I'd love to have more. This is a great way to spread Prowler goodwill. |

So who is going to stand up and take the lead on a bulk purchase this time around? If we purchase enough, we could probably have them in whatever color we'd like. |

I was at Chryslers at Carlisle and saw the kids faces when Mean Gene handed them a Prowler. I walked most of the show on Saturday and did not see any other group handing out anything. I would be interested in a couple hundred if we can go group purchase. |

Boy am I glad I started this post for anyone interested in bracelets (lol). After some checking on the internet, it appears that the cost of braclets and matchboxes is almost the same. I thought the braclets would be alot cheaper (bigger bank for the buck), but I like the matchbox idea alot better. Count me in for some matchboxes, but I am going to let someone else run with this one. don't let silvrkat fool you, he was trying to get one from meangene for himself.

I have found that most all kids like stickers, you could print a page of stickers with your Kat on it to give away

Okay, let's get serious. Assuming case lots of (72) and pricing of less than $1 each delivered to your house, who's in for how many? Call is in to the supplier regarding colors, timing and minimum quantities. It would appear that we would need a minimum order of approximately (30) cases. Attempted to email Matthew46 (Matthew Kaufman), but email was returned. If anyone knows how to contact him by phone or email, please let me know. |
