it's summertime.....flowers are blooming, sun is shining

LETS SEE SOME NEW PROWLER PICTURES........

ps...if you don't know how to post them, email them to me and I will post the pix for you... look for some simple shots....nothing fancy.... just watch your light/shadows and backgrounds this time...EASY TO DO....

...just a simple country road, pointed towards the sun, clean background, angle pose, wheels cut....took 30 seconds to set up....

OK - Here's one I took after reading TUIB's "How to take Pictures of your Car" series. Notice how adding the visual element of the mop bucket gives a sense of danger AND cleanliness! I think I'm ready for the cover of Hot Rodder magazine! Or maybe Janitorial Weekly...

.....not exactly what I meant by a "clean background"...you should have parked the mop bucket at an angle and cut the wheels a little more to the right

ps....Yelo Kats are great/easy to photograph.....you should get the car out and take a bunch....

Curt - I'll be just happy when you can get a decent picture for your avatar photo. Looks like something Darth Vader would have,,,,,,,

I like how you color co-ordinated the bucket. Excellent shot, I don't care what MR Cookie says.

Ed - don't let Curt fool you,,,,,,the bucket is placed there to cover the expired AZ plates on his cat,,so the neighbors will not report him. Think they expired in Feb. - '03

Mike, there are several Larrys here. You should always indicate you mean a Larry OTHER THAN Salzman. It could get brutal, otherwise. lol

Mike.....it really only matters what YOU think of the shots.....are they better than you took in the past.....did you like/use the ideas I gave you ???

my opinion, you did GREAT.....black cars are the most difficult to shoot because they tend to disappear in the picture and look like a black blob....magazines rarely publish a black car and if they do, they don't use their color pages....you have the Kat in front of a light background, angled, wheels cut, light looks right.....you got professional results...a car with flames/stripes etc needs as plain of a background as possible....you did well Grasshopper

critique...
rear shot, Pix #2, I would have pulled a little more of the side of the car into the shot, get a hint of the flames for color....

shot #1 is beautiful...

shot #3 is beautiful too...

again, these are just my thoughts, you must decide what you like...

mike82 - Brian is right,,,,your flame job looks awesome. Just need to add some Tom Mills covers over the holes where the bumpers were removed.

It will not matter which Larry responds to your pictures or questions,,,,,,all have excellent opinions. Now if you seek a Edto answer,,,,,well,,,,you are on your own, lol.

A/C you're right i've been needing to do that for a while,i almost didn't post a pic of the front because of those gaping wounds.the body shop that did the paint, made covers but they warped.i've got some aluminum and will make them myself.if people ask i just tell them it's ram air.lol.

Mike ...another idea....I took off my first set of bumpers before there were even kits on the market....what I did was replaced the bolts and just painted the area flat black... made it disappear from sight....the 'poor mans bumper fix'

ps...still impressed by your flamed Kat.....beautiful car...

Mike,
...this is probably the only picture I have of a Kat painted that way, and it isn't very good to boot, but you can see how painting the area black makes it disappear quite a bit...I guess I painted my first 2 Kats that way...

Great pic Chris!

How about an owners best photo scrap book. Each POA member could submit their one best photo for each Prowler they own. The photo would simply be labeled with the owner's screen and real name.

Visitors could see in one stop the wide range of owner modifications in the various colors as the pride of the club members.
