I figured Marty probably needs a spare. Or you could have it made into a 5.0 in Colo.

There is also a dash for sale by the same guy. It is NOT the top of the dash, but the face of it, lower portion only. At least that is what it looks like to me. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7979655173&category=40017

These guys are not too far from me. I have been considering this one but wondered how much and who might build it up for me. No real info on condition so I cannot pay too much.

I agree... & it looks a little dusty & only on half of the engine. I would be a little leery...
I do think this might be a real Prowler engine though, it has the correct metal 3.5 liter Prowler Engine emblem on the plenum. Yes I know you can buy one & stick it on, but who would go through the trouble... I would think there is a much larger market for an LHS engine... Good looking out Ed!

Buddy, I did not notice the second picture. You are correct, sir, it sure looks like a Mulholland unless A/C stole the High Voltage Blue (it could happen).

What would make you leery about it being dusty on half the engine? Just curious, as the engine is mounted the same direction in the Prowler, 300m LHS, etc. Not transversly mounted.

The dirty or dusty side might be from where the cat slid on its side into a lake or pond

Hey guys-

I don't want to rain on the parade; But put a minute of thought into this:

1st- Without a doubt this motor was yanked out of a prowler that was more than likely Totaled by an insurance co. after going for a SWIM.

2nd- Look at the lower dash, and the mud on it. How do you think it got that way...there's only one way the dash
and motor could get dirt and mud in every crevice...WATER

3rd- Why would someone yank there motor out of there Kat,
To upgrade??? Even if you could stuff a V8 in there; I don't think so.

Well maybe I'm wrong but it's obvious he bought this vehicle as a salvage and is now PARTING IT OUT!!!!

I certainly wouldn't go near this; Nor sell to a friend.

THEN AGAIN YOU WOULD HAVE THE ONLY KAT THAT BLOW'S BUBBLES

What I see looks like sanding dust (like from sheetrock) probably from sanding body filler in the area. If you look at the small pulley on the right, it has settled from above, not from below as would be mud.

With the full disclosure on the rear bumpers, multiple locations with shuttle service in between, I don't see an obvious problem. They look like a tear-it-apart and ship it operation with no conditioning (or even cleaning) - I love the stand for the dashboard photos - a stack of dirty (muddy) tires. I wouldn't doubt that the dashboard was ripped out (literally) and tossed in the mud before the picture was taken.

Has anyone called them?

-GRROWL

I've Bought lots of stuff from them and its all been that dirty or worse when it got to me, but it all cleaned up real well.
All items were as described and pictured, beside that i called them before i bid and they were very fast & Accurate with response to any questions i asked.
If i needed a motor for the price!!! Hell i'd bid on it.
